I was just curious. They don't seem to be talked about alot around here. I have been looking at a few of their knives but want to know if they are worth getting also.
Thanks

They aren't talked about? :eek::eek:

They're great knives especially for the price. My favorite are the Ka-bar made Beckers. You really can't go wrong with any kabar.

Sorry if my first post was kinda rash. I guess when I log on I dont see alot of single topics that are about Ka-Bar? Maybe I am digging a hole here I will change the thread title.

MY absolute favorite brand. They are the best value for the money, hands down.

You're a sinner to the knife world if you don't own at least one Ka-Bar. Sure, Esee's knives are maybe better made, by a bit, but their also $150 more.

The Becker line, especially the BK2, is terrific.

I think it is because they are more of an established company that likes to play it safe (and why shouldn't they? they have a well established customer base), they don't go and come up with fancy new stuff all the time, so they aren't very controversial or trendy, but hey why change something that works?

Absolutley proven, without a doubt one of the greatest knife manufacturers of all time. Look in the manufacturer subforums and you'll find tons of love for them.

I like the Ka-Bar's that I've got. Nothing special but they didn't cost me an arm and a leg either.

KaBar makes some of the best working blades in the business, period.

The Becker line is as good as anything that holds an edge, handles are negligible and the sheaths, BLOW (except for the BK2 Kydex). But buy the knife, then cry when you trade it or sell it for something that looks cooler. I have two BK9's a BK5, BK2 and always keeping my eyes peeled for a good 7 or another 5.

KaBar Fighting Knives, I have and love the full size Tanto, it's ass ugly but whip fast and there probably is no better self defense blade. The point is such that stabbing through layers of fur or thick skin is astounding.

Just thinking of my BK5 and Tanto is making me eager to go on a hog hunt.

The Becker sub-forum is kind of turning into the unofficial KA-BAR forum. Toooj is the Senior Engineer at KA-BAR and he stps by often to answer questions and whatnot. KA-BAR is my favorite fixed blade manufacturer. I do not believe they can be beat for the price, and I would even say that they beat out some of their more expensive competitors.

never owned one before, plan on getting as many of the zombie knives as possible when they come out though :)

No joke, I actually like the little folder and the ZK 7 inch tanto. I don't really know what I'd use it for, but they're good lookin' tac. blades. I think I'll treat myself to one of 'em at least.
