does anyone not carry at all?

I've always carried a knife on my person, let it be a multitool and/or an actual proper knife.

I sometimes carry a gun, too.

No way I would walk out of the house without a knife, I even carry a knife when im in the house just sitting around. I havent lost anything since I got really into knives so I dont worry about that, I keep track of where my knives are at all times. I also rely on my knife daily, so if I didnt carry one I would have alot of trouble trying to get stuff done.

I try to have one whenever hiking or traveling. But on a daily basis I usually don't. I just forget...

Personally I have been carrying almost every day since the first 110 I acquired as a kid. See I grew up in the country and everyone edc'd. Then my career as a LEO dictated I carried tactical daily. Since retirement I have found carrying every day essential. I can't tell you how many times I reach for her to do some task. She's like a loyal dog, always there for me. I have been bitten by a Spydie and now can't get enough. Hang around long enough and you'll find a best friend in your pocket daily. It's like Crack cocaine my friend.

I'm with Murf!
I've had a knife on me every single day since my Grandfather gave me his old Barlow.
For the first time in what must be 20 years I didn't have a knife on me for one day last week and it was just not right.... :grumpy: Never going to let that happen again! ;)

I can't carry at work unfortunately, not even a SAK or anything. But the second I get in my car a knife is getting clipped on my pocket.

Yep naked without my girl, Caly 3.5

I never used to carry a knife regularly, though I always had a Leatherman tool in my bag or briefcase, though I rarely if ever used the knife blade in it. For some reason I still don't quite understand, the knife bug bit me out of nowhere a couple of years ago and now I have way more than I need.

It's really one of those kinds of things that you don't really know you need until you start doing it, and then once you start (carrying a knife) you don't know how you ever got along without it.

So now I always have a Victorinox Swiss Army knife in a pocket, usually the Alox Cadet. It's amazing how many times in a normal week it gets used.

Everyday at work I have a 25mm olfa in my tool belt. And an izula2 in my box instead of using beat up old chisels. Actually had co-workers pick up knifes of their own, on account that it actually works. But besides work I always have a knife on me whether in the pocket or on the belt.

I used to not carry a knife. But back then I was young. Way too young to buy my own knife, and my parents didn't trust me enough to buy me one. But as soon as I learned how to drive and go to stores on my own, that all changed.

I've been carrying a knife just about every single day for the last ten years now. And it's not so much a matter of feeling naked without one, but rather it's a sense of feeling helpless. We're tool users by nature, and not meant to be deprived of our tools.

Wow, I can't imagine NOT having a knife on me.

For the firearm comment: I carry one of those too. I hope I never need to draw it in defense of myself or others. Unfortunately, it only takes one time to "need" a firearm and if one does not have it, the consequences can be life altering (perhaps even life-ending). I'd much rather carry and not need, than forever wish I'd had it. When the need arises, I don't expect too much advanced notice. I don't think felonious criminals send a memo prior.

I don't however think of myself as some "commando". There is no blood lust. I don't think I'm a tough guy. Just a regular guy who would rather be prepared. I'm legally authorized to carry a firearm and choose to remain prepared. That is all. As for defending a wallet, I'd much rather give my wallet away than take someone's life, even though I'm always armed.

Back to the knife issue, I really would feel utterly vulnerable without one on my person. It's just too much of a necessity.

It was never instilled in me to carry from a young a age. My dad didn't as far back as i can remember. Im sure my granddad did since he was an aviation mechanic. I really didn't get my first real knife till my mid 20s. It wasn't until the last few years that i got into collecting big time.

Though i think the main reason I don't carry is more due to not knowing the full carry laws and dealing with non knife friendly this day in age.

Believe me, I'll admit im a bit of an odd person

The last time I left my house without a knife was probably the last time I went to court. Like 4 years ago...

I don't carry a knife to work, I carry a leatherman rebar instead. Wearing slacks doesnt allow me to carry a knife and my rebar. Plus a multitool is way more useful than a knife at my job.

The rebar has a few blades on it though, so I still have a knife on me when needed.

I live near what i think is considered the nudist capital of the state. There is 3 large nudist colonies 15 minutes away
