Very, VERY unhappy with purchase of 710-1401 with m390 from Knifeworks. i wanted it so badly i even couldn't sleep and wait, so i paid over 300$ to guy in russia, and had the knife in three days. now, THIS blemish kills every good feeling about the knife when opened or closed:

when the knife is opened it makes the knife look like it has very weak blade. i contacted through the site and by two email addresses, no answer. i throw 300$ in trash because of benchmade. i will recommend all my friends not to buy benchmade and will never buy it again for myself. thanks for your attention.

Of course you do realize that it has been a weekend?
Did you try contacting knifeworks....where it was actually purchased?

They have weekends too, I'm sure you'll get a response later in the day monday or tuesday. BM has great customer service in my experience. As Karda said, get ahold of your russian guy who sold it to you.

Call me dense - what is wrong with the knife? I do not see the blemish he is referring to in the photo . . .

Same here...

Wish folks would use their phones as phones and get a decent camera for pics...

What is your expected "timeframe" for an email response? Typically I'd give it a week. Also you should be using the support form on their site and not direct email addresses of individuals (who may or may not be with BM, or may have simply moved to other departments). And if things are too urgent, sync up the time zone, and call up - they respond over phone every time when call during business hours. Another option is to drop a note to knifeworks with the blemish as they are the authorized dealer for the knife (I can't see any blemish in the provided photo except for bursted bubble of the bubble wrap).

I realize it can be frustrating, but unless you follow the protocol, there is little anyone can do. Good luck and hope you get the blemish addressed.

I believe the problem he is talking about is that the blade spine is not even. This results in what he calls a "weak looking" blade. As far as I can tell this is not a functional problem and certainly not a piece of "trash".
.... Or maybe he sees a different problem.

I'm confused! What do you mean, that you paid over $300 to a guy in Russia? I think that you need to get a good night sleep & start over again in the morning.

You tried calling Benchmade 3 whole times, & on a weekend? I get through the very first time, every time! Be polite, & rational, when you speak to the very nice people at Benchmade, & they will give you excellent assistance.

Patience, is a virtue, 7up.

Benchmade has great customer service... every time I've ever called in BUSINESS HOURS they answer.... calm down call today and you'll retract your statement. First contact the dude in Russia though as HE sold you the knife... I bet he is of little help and you'll end up letting benchmade take care of it just my 2 cents. There's a lot of guys here who have used benchmade service more than once and have no complaints.

I've had great luck with the guys at knifeworks, as Karda stated, just shoot them an email with a couple better photos and I'm sure they'll help you out.

7up,

Sorry for your experience. Our Customer Service Department is closed Saturday's & Sunday's. Could you please PM me your contact email and will put you in contact with a Customer Service Rep to help you with your knife.

Thank you.

~ The Benchmade Team

2 total posts, bought from a guy in Russia, emails on a weekend and expects an immediate response, won't specify the problem, we should not "waste our time" buying Benchmade anymore.....yep, I'm convinced.
Dang Benchmade....Will they ever listen?!?!?!?

All I can see in the pic is something that looks like it could be some awesome bubble wrap...in all honesty though, at least the op made an attempt to post pics which as of late seems almost taboo when bashing Benchmade.

Couldn't agree with your point more. So many complaints and so, so few pic's. But in the case of the OP's pic's I give very, very little credit........

OP = troll, or 12 years old.

Even if the story is true as told, I suspect the "guy in Russia" did a little modification before he sold the knife to the OP.
