Call me dense - what is wrong with the knife? I do not see the blemish he is referring to in the photo . . .

Well... I certainly wouldn't be calling you dense in this case. But I think the OP has earned this title in his mere two posts.

7up,

Sorry for your experience. Our Customer Service Department is closed Saturday's & Sunday's. Could you please PM me your contact email and will put you in contact with a Customer Service Rep to help you with your knife.

Thank you.

~ The Benchmade Team

Ahhhh.... Cust. Service. ain't it a wonderful thing!
My personal experience with both BenchM. and KnifeW. = superb, stellar and... glorious.

Why did he buy from a man in Russia and why wasn't he able to contact Benchmade? I suspect the original poster is in Russia himself, and may not be familiar with business practice here.

Holy hell, what ever happened to a little patience! It's awful to see terrible customers like this go from 0 to 100mph instantly when they're not coddled.

"I'm sure you'll get a response later in the day monday or tuesday. BM has great customer service in my experience."
ahaha! no way, brother. i waited for THREE WEEKS!!!!
ok, scrolling down i saw benchmade answered here, so i post here my email " dr.up7@yandex.ru "
am not going read the whole thread, thanks people.

i am not able to PM, so i sent email through the site to benchmade moderator. i am not sure it changes something in their service. maybe they should check their spam box two times a day, i am NOT the only one experiencing WALL while contacting BM. my friends had it too. also, many people at guns.ru had the same exp.

Man I have never, I repeat, never had a problem with Benchmade's customer service. They have always been super curtious, very understanding, and sent me parts and pocket clips for free. SMH.

Where are you located?

The first warning sign was "i wanted it so badly i even couldn't sleep and wait..".

Yea - you need a knife so badly you can't sleep? That's a problem.

Second, why are you sending emails directly to people at Benchmade?

Here, plainly listed on their web site, is the customer service contact form -

http://www.benchmade.com/company/contact_us.aspx

I understand the disappointment in waiting for a knife only to find out that there is something incorrect about it, but the drama is thick and strong in this one.

I have always received a very prompt response from BM, usually within one business day. However, I wasn't emailing random employees who may have nothing to do with warranty service and was instead following the directions listed very plainly on their website...

I know there may be a language barrier, but if your grasp of English is good enough to come here and make a thread to complain about a nonsensical issue, then it is also good enough to have gone to Benchmade's website and read the warranty page.

... buying American made knife from someone in Russia? That's just asking for trouble!

Benchmade's customer service is off-the-charts solid. Taking this whole thread with a grain of salt.

He's Russian. It simply makes more sense to purchase locally no? He didn't send off to Russia for a BM to be shipped back to America.
