Does this make any sense? I want something identical that I already have

Ok all, thanks for the quick replies, I ordered the second identical as a back up, I love the Mordax to much, especially the honeycomb pattern.

Thank you so for your perspective and help!
That's the same one I have, fantastic knife! It only got kicked out of the pocket by the ZT0909, and that's only because I love LG designs and ZT affordability!

I’ve done it several times but never with anything terribly expensive.

After some time passed, I accepted the fact that I’m not hard on my knives or prone to losing them and I’ll probably never need the backup knives.

I also concluded that although the backup knife is exactly the same knife, it’s not the same knife that I bonded with. For me personally, if I lose a knife it’s best to move
on to something else.
Your argument was almost enough to stop me, I gave pause and agree with you. I ended up thinking I will bond with both, maybe in different ways! 😁

Very nice. Classy and classic.
It really is a perfect pocket knife, the pics didn't do justice to me until I got in hand and felt the fit, weight, proportions, just the total design. Once I had one I saw the light! 😁.

I have duplicate knives but they’re not exact copies, usually different handle materials, colors, steels, etc. That Protech is pretty sweet, I like the styling of it.

I have spares for many of my knives. I even own three or four of the knives that I really like. I have even bought three or four of some knives that I do not particularly like, although I think they are good quality and reasonably priced. Damn it, a few months ago I bought eight cold steel lafontaines. In the worst case, you can always get rid of it. A good knife always has a buyer.

The reality is that TWO should always be the minimum. Some of us don't stop there

I still haven't fell in love with any (production) knife yet, that I bought......
Although I was looking at a Protech auto the other day. I was close to buying
