This is Gunny. My wife took this picture of him looking out the window. He's worried because I went away in the pickup without his help. That's not allowed.

Gunny never chewed our shoes, but he will grab them & play keep-away with them when you're trying to put them on.

Here's our old lab Sandy. He never chewed shoes either, but he had a thing for one of my ll bean boots. My right one always had slobber & teeth prints on it. He didn't bother with the left one.

All the labs that I've ever had seem to have the impression that I'm not capable of doing anything without their supervision & assistance. I'm not saying they're wrong, but...

That's because Border Collies NEVER stop working.

Yes, they never stop. Mine inspects every day the field, the backyard, the garden, the barn and the house. Meticulously. My wife once took a print off the wall. When he saw this change he sat facing the wall and started to growl. Something had changed !

Watching the footy last last night, Buddy came in put his head on my leg, think he was after the snack I had opened with my laguiole(couldn't have any chocolate). So gave him a scratch behind his ears & he stood there for awhile. Then he decided wanted more attention or food, paw on my chair leaning forward & giving me the stare, cheeky dog. Doesn't normally do that to me, does it with the kids they spoil him. I am the walker clean up person
