So sorry to hear this. It is never easy, and even harder when it comes too soon, out of nowhere. Looks like she had a wonderful life with your family, and that you have wonderful memories of her.

So sorry for your loss, Barrett. They are with us for such a short time. While with us they add so much to our lives it makes it so painful when they leave.

I’m so sorry for your loss, what a beautiful dog. I still think about my yellow lab we had growing up. Even though it’s been many years since she left us I still miss her.

9 years with a faithful companion is a tough loss, been through that a couple times myself and it leaves a void in your life for awhile. Sorry for your loss, Barrett.

Sorry to hear about your pup. I know how you feel. We have a pet cemetery at the end of the yard, beside the creek, full of our old animal friends.

Sorry about the loss of Maggie, Barrett. They leave a big hole in your life when they go.

I am very sorry for your loss, I know it can be tough.
My last pitbull was about 16 when she passed around a year and a half ago having given me 14 great years, and it was just so tough for me.
So many things I'm used to doing everyday were just so tough to do without her right next to me.
All my favorite snacks I had in the house I had to toss out because I couldn't stand to eat them without her there to share them with.

It was maybe 10 days later when pepper was thoughtfully sprung on me in the middle of the night and I wasn't anywhere near ready for another 4 legged best friend, but it was too late for me to say no and I'm definitely happy.
She's the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten.
It always seems like things will never get better, but they do.

On a lighter note, I’m now realizing the extent to which Maggie helped out around the house as a canine vacuum cleaner. I had no idea my kids were that messy when they ate!

I hope y’all will forgive me for sharing a few dog pics without traditional knives (I promise there’ll be at least one). Today we had to say goodbye to Maggie, who was a few days short of her 9th birthday. She had been having stomach problems for the last six weeks or so, which got increasingly worse despite all the vet’s best efforts, to the point that she was no longer eating at all this past week.

She was a cute puppy, a bit of a crazy “teenager,” a couch potato, patient with our young kids, and overall just a very good girl. We’re going to miss her a lot.

We had to put our little June down on Thursday. It was extremely tough on the fam and I. I’m still hurting today and we miss her so much. But if that is the cost for being on the receiving end of a dogs love then it was worth it all.

Thanks, John. It’s funny, she quit eating and lied around for several days, and all it took was a couple hundred dollars of blood tests that that came back good and she snapped right out of it. I guess border collies are smart
