Dogs and traditional knives

Both... Back on Duty. 🤠
You guys are making me miss my Border Collie. :)

I hope y’all will forgive me for sharing a few dog pics without traditional knives (I promise there’ll be at least one). Today we had to say goodbye to Maggie, who was a few days short of her 9th birthday. She had been having stomach problems for the last six weeks or so, which got increasingly worse despite all the vet’s best efforts, to the point that she was no longer eating at all this past week.
I'm really sorry to hear about Maggie. That's a tough blow Barrett. What joy they bring to life.

Took Lacey down to a specialist in San Francisco this morning to get knee surgery (here we're waiting to go into the clinic). Will pick her up tomorrow, then four weeks of strict rest, four weeks of increasing activity, then the surgeon tells me she'll be 'ready to run around like crazy again'. May it be so, Lord.

Hope Lacey's surgery and recovery go well. Good luck keeping a dog on four weeks of rest without an inhouse kennel

So be it. My best wishes of quick recovery.

Dan.

Buddy enjoying a bone in the break of the rain. We have had heavy rain for close to a week, large portion of the state is in flood.
The second shot I'm sure Buddy is wondering where the gumboots are the pavers are covered in about 1/2 inch of water. Sak on the table I wasn't walking out there.

Lacey got home around noon and is kinda wonked out on fentynal. She's pretty uncomfortable but mostly resting. Doc was was happy with how the surgery went though, and we expect a full recovery. Thanks for good wishes, all!
