Woohoo! 11 hours down, 9 to go. 6 or so and then I need to figure out how to get this mess back in my vehicle... Wet... And with much less room to work in. Hopefully the people around me will be down before me so I've got room to swing poles. I wonder if I'm the only one with a toothbrush, deodorant and clean clothes. I think of every visit by KAI to be like a sort of a job interview... Although it's more like a visit to Santa! Hope there is lots of great stuff and my credit card doesn't melt!
 
4am and the line is just to the end of the inside sidewalk and not to the gate yet. Much shorter than last year at this time. The rain is coming down hard and it feels colder than last year even though it was in the mid 30s around this time last year and I didn't have gloves.

Tent is holding the water out perfectly and I'm keeping warm. Hope everyone else out there is as well. Be sure and dress warm and for the rain everyone on your way. The line as it stands looks like about an hour wait after doors open but it is hard to judge number of people with so many tents in line.

I'm going to try and get some more sleep. Hope I can get in early and find some of the stuff I'm looking for and looking for for some of you. Have a good morning everyone!
 
I think I heard Thomas say hello to some people as he walked in and popped up wide awake. If it was him, he was inside before I could poke my head out of my fortress and say hello. Last night they asked me who the guy was with Craig. Funny they know Craig but not Thomas when it is the opposite here.

It will be interesting to see where I end up in line. There were 2 people in line when I got here at 1:20 yesterday and both of them left for long period of time. At least one did anyway. He left and went and picked up people he was holding spots in line for. I believe the other went to lunch with his wife for a bit but I'm not positive. So in a fair world where if you leave the property you lose your spot (bathroom and car trips by gentlemen's agreement), I'm either first or second in line. Unless I fight I think I'm getting pushed back to 12th or so because some people suck.
 
It seems like theres more people here than last year at this time. I feel bad for the people that came unprepared without even an umbrella haha.
 
2nd to 12th? From people disappearing and coming back? Yeah, no. That wouldn't fly in New York. You'd get thrown out onto the street for that kind of nonsense.

I'm glad you made it through the night with little to no trouble aside from the boredom. That tent sounds pretty epic. When this is all done, I'd like to ask you for info on your setup, since I'm in the market for gear for the upcoming summer.

Also, I'll see you at Blade Show. :D Should be fun.
 
Wow.. From 4:30 to 6 the line grew a lot. The line is much longer than it was as 6:30-7:00 last year. The rain has let up for a bit so I expect it is going to continue to grow.
 
Are you in now? I dont remember what time the doors opened. 2nd to 12th would make me unhappy. Id just politely say they are welcome to stand behind you and then smile like this :D But even 12th in line isnt too bad. Ill buy one of the 0777 blems off of you for sure ;)
 
Nope. I'm not terribly concerned about being 12th. First or last we all get in. I'm just cranky after a night in the cold :)
 
Stick to drum, tried to send you an email with a list of my junk. Not sure if it worked. I've got a twisted sense of hunor this morning and had a bit of a smirk when I realized you are STD :)
 
I bought a propane heater yesterday at work and its turning out to be the best purchase ive made in a while!
 
All the good stuff is sold. Dave landed a C-130 in the back lot and took off with the entire warehouse. I guess we can all go home!

Glad I wasnt first. The local news was here. I heard thia made CNN also. As much as I probably appear to be an attention whore, I am not. I just have no life :)
