Don't Need No Bolsters!!!

Bolsters can dress up, and strengthen a pocket knife!!! I've seen them drive a tack in some cases among other oddball uses!! But are they really necessary??
If the liners and handles are sturdy, the knife will stand up to reasonable chores, without loosening or wobbling the blades!!!
In many ways, bolsters are optional, but not needed!! Whey else would we have so many knives without them?? This thread is dedicated to the knives that don't have, and indeed don't need those shiny chunks of metal!!! Here are some examples!!View attachment 3193978View attachment 3193979

Nice thread idea Charlie :) I don't think knives come any tougher than these British Army Knives from WW2 (of which I have a whole cabinet! :D) :thumbsup:
