Nice thread idea Charlie :) I don't think knives come any tougher than these British Army Knives from WW2 (of which I have a whole cabinet! :D) :thumbsup:

Especially when the blade pivot(s) are rivets. In this case, the torsional forces exerted on the blade remain confined to the rivet and do not separate the two parts of the handle. This avoids annoying
wobbles of the blade.
I much more trust shadow patterns as long as they feature rivets than the classic pin in bolsters construction particularly for whittling knives or hard use ones.
