Don't Regret the Snark

This has nothing to do with the topic at hand (poor spelling from a teacher) but I quest finished the lateset episode of sons of anarchy. All I can say is that it was crazy and I really want to see the next episode.
How DARE you go off topic in the snark thread! Save that crap for the Off-topic thread, fer cryin' out loud! Sheesh!

I will say that I find grammatical errors in my 3rd grader's homework, and she's at a pretty good public school. That example is pretty bad, WW. There's a good chance her teacher didn't even write it; a lot of those sorts of things are made by one group or person as curriculum for the entire district or even state. Luckily - and remember this is coming from a serious grammar cop - having good grammar and spelling are not predictors of successfulness in life. My sister used to teach English and always had some spelling issues, and no less than a nationally recognized teacher friend of mine told me once that "spelling is not that important in the scheme of things...but perseverance is." I'd still red-pen the $/+!+ out of it, though. Just leave out the LMAO's, OK?

Dang.... red pen doesnt erase well.. hope the LMAOs wont get her points taken off HAHA :D

The answer is that there are things that creep and crawl around a hiding rock.

It is a stupid fricking paper, it is stupid homework, and if is written horribly.

Public school, non public doesn't matter.

My girlfriend is a college student and most of the math professors, including hers, are Asian and hers does not speak English very well, much less write in it.

So her thousands of dollars in tuition are spent on homework in which entire paragraphs unintelligible...

That was always the joke in engineering school - "I'm spending tens of thousands of dollars on school - I can't afford one interpreter let alone THREE!"
Math department were Greeks, electrical engineering profs Indian/asian, chemistry prof was Hungarian.....good lord, the only english speaking professors were in the english department....and engineers don't take english courses if they can help it.

Yet the snark continues.

I am of the firm belief that the entire language of the interwebz can be made from typing or mis-typing guttural moans, tongue clicks, angry chimping and emoticons.

rabble rabble rabble

i love my KOH-I-NOOR rapidomatic 5635

I want to try the rapidograph.

Hows that for off topic LMAO

Never saw any Greeks... I graduated with a EE degree from U of MO-Rolla, now Missouri S&T, formerly Missouri School of Mines (three names on the Alumni magazine). Lot of Chinese and other Asians, but the hardest to understand was a Teaching Assistant for one of my lab classes that was from Ireland. His brogue was so thick that none of us could understand anything he said. At least the Asians spoke broken English!

Im Greek mixed with american, im a mutt really lol, cant speak Greek though. I didnt know the proper way to say my own last name until i was around 20 LMAO, but hell its my name so ill say it how i want to.

I gave my son a strong greek first name, Antaeus. Heard it, Loved it, and waited for a son.

non-snark issue: finished an 8-mile run on Saturday and forgot to post that I reached 50.5 BPs, now I'm a bit frustrated to find the thread was locked!
