The pics look stunning. The G-10 appears black, is that the final color? The photos always depicted it in a kind of Ranger Green. I don't really care just curious.
 
any1 mind sending me the pic i'm thinking about ordering one tonight but i want to see the final pic on it..

i'm confused... u can only get the limited edition from the dpxgear website?

i looked on knifeworks and they have it listed has the hest/f version.. i thought that was the first production limited edition version.
 
Just got my pics! Man I can't wait for Christmas! Thanks for the pics RYP! This is going to be a darn sweet knife!
 
Its pretty straightforward. We did 250 as a numbered first edition (www.dpxgear.com) and dealers have the regular knife. The 250 knives have a special treatment and a special configuration choice and some goodies that don't come with the regular version. We are sending pics out of the protos to folks that reserved the first 250 and then when we get it exactly the way we like everyone can see the proto. Its honestly not a big deal but I understand the anticipation.

As some folks want to see the "real deal" before ordering then naturally we will only show them the real deal. But the folks who took the risk and ordered from concept drawings are going to be rewarded with a custom knife and goodies.

Like ordering a Shelby or a Mustang. Its our way of thanking those folks who trusted us to deliver on our promise.

Understood. I'll end up with one when they come out even if I have to sell some undesireable family members. (wierd uncle..;))
 
I enjoyed the pics, and I guess the oft asked questions about who actually got on the list for the first 250 was answered today. :p

not at all. The proto for the first run get nailed down first then the production run gets perfected which w Even all the pre-order folks have't got their pics yet. Artisanal knife pic emailing at its finest

part of me was just kidding ;) since waiting is part of preordering i dont mind waiting for the pics as well :D

the renderings are just gonna have to suffice...:eek:
 
to those of you "missing pics" - I'd say just look at the DPX site...and don't worry too much...the pics look pretty much like that (to my untrained eye, anyway). Well, it's bare naked... with no coating or jimping...but it seems like the same thing.

Looks like they are gonna deliver exactly what they promised with the initial renderings...but I guess we all expected that anyway. ;)

RYP - I'm guessing what we see in the pics is the more standard "rightie" version? And for those backwards folks like me...who ordered the lefty version...we can just imagine everything reversed?

figures...someone with 1 post (smilie removed) would screw up what RYP was cool enough to ask us to do...geez...that's where you wish you were in person and could truly show 'em how you feel....
