Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making a LEFTY VERSION

This knife looks absolutely amazing.

A+ work guys!

Haven't been keeping up too much with the forums as of late as work got busy for a while. If I remember correctly wasn't there supposed to be some kind of master list or confirmation email was all the HEST/F were spoken for? Do I remember incorrectly or did it already happen?

I ask because on that first open day of ordering I did just that and confirmed by clicking on the link and saying it reserved but with the weirdness that happened I just wanted to double check.

Thanks

I thought I recalled hearing about a few prybar breakages?

No blades though...

I dont remember where I read that though, so maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

I am not aware of any fixed blade DPx H•E•S•T problems. Jeff and Mike can list if any have been replaced under warranty. It's a pretty chunky piece of steel and you would have to work overtime and with a large sledgehammer to bring it some hurt.:))

I guess I was mistaken, sorry. :o

I knew there werent any problems with the HEST, I just thought I remembered reading about a few people really, really abusing them and snapped off the prybar. (Now, I wonder where I came up with that....damn memory slipping away at the ripe old age of 28...(seriously...I think somethings wrong with me ))

Though, the more I look at the knife...I wonder what the hell a person would have to do to it to snap one! I just know that I am going to end up with a fixed HEST to quench the need for a folding HEST while I wait for the latter to arrive!

Some have ground the prybar off, maybe that's what you're thinking of.

RYP did say there would be an email prior to the "request for payment email". That way everyone could know for sure what they had confirmed in case they were uncertain. []

I, as of yet; have not receive that email.

So, I hope it has not been sent yet.... otherwise, I missed the boat. :( :D

Don't think they've been sent out yet. I think we will probably get one when the prototypes are out, telling us we will need to pay in the next X weeks.

Then once people who can't pay/don't want it anymore have been weeded out, they will release the few numbers again for people who didn't make it.

I suspect we will pay mid-oct or so. Can't wait to see the prototypes!

I'm so excited! Also because we get our limited edition before the production ones hit stores I think!

Below is what I was referring to:

been busy, but once again.

We will send out a confirmation for the knives and number to each person who reserved a number knife.

If there are folks who don't want a knife, or there was a mistake we will put those numbers up on the site and let you know here.

When we are happy with the protos, tolerances, look, finish etc. We well post pics and ask those folks to send in payment for the knife they ordered. according to the specs. We will also finalize specs, materials, finish, accessories and goodies. Any folks who fall by the wayside, will have their numbers put back on the list.

While all this wonderfulness goes on you will get updates, photos, interesting backgrounders etc sent to your email address.

When the knife ships we will double check the delivery address and make sure it gets to you as soon as possible.

If you did not get a first run, numbered version then you would be wise to preorder yours through the dealer list at www.dpxgear.com or www.eseeknives.com.

Now I have to back to work...

PS Keep in mind I am just as excited as you are about getting my folder!

Let's not get all Groundhog Day on this. :))

Prototypes are being constructed as we speak.
November 1 is a rough target date for first images
Once people have seen the prototypes we will then contact all 250 people who have reserved a number and ask for payment.
Those that fall by the wayside will have their numbers put back up with a request for payment
You are ordering a custom made knife in the finish, format requested and with personalized warranty and registration

The knife has an expected delivery date in early December.

We will providing updates on the prototypes and finished products at www.dpxgear.com and here.

Thanks for the easy to understand info. :)

Simple communication is appreciated & priceless... as are brief updates. ;)

This is gonna be a fine knife... I can just "feel it".............

Just logged in to check up on the forum and this thread....
I had about a 6 hour drive back from a satelite office yesterday....

and of course...my brain turned to these wonderful knives that are now...
according to dpxgear.com....only 61 days away! :)

Like a fat kid staring at a cake in the oven.... lol!

Man, I can't wait to get one of these. I think it's the folder I have been looking for and it's actually priced to use. What a concept.

Just saw the pic of the first proto. It is all naked and shiny but it looks great. One little tweak on the blade and then it will be shipped over here for me to feel, touch and work it around. But it has that "look" Gianni was able to take the plans and match it perfectly.

I am jamming on Somalia right now but we will send out the emails to confirm number, type of knife and finished ordered, method of payment and attach some pics. We won't demand payment until we are 100% happy with the prototype and you have seen it. But LionSteel is on schedule and looking good.
