The knife has not been tumbled, the blade has not been beadblasted and Ti coated and the g10 scale has not been finished in a bead blast. Lots more work to do but the basic structure and movement are there.
Handle thickness (without clip): .541
Blade thickness (Max): .187
Titanium frame thickness: .140
G10 thickness: .140
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Question????
What is the combined thickness of the of the Titanium and the G10.. on the G10 side???
It can't be .140" for both, that would put the handle thickness far past .541".
Just curious.
Thanks in advance??![]()

Ok, but something is not adding up on handle thickness. Handle thickness of knife is stated to be .541.42 of an inch thick not including the clip. You are packing a thick blade.
Closed end to end is is 4.39" and 4.65: with glass breaker

The .42" you reported seems to be :
.140" / 'Lock side' Titanium thickness
.140" / 'G10 side' Titanium thickness
.140" / G10 thickness
-------------------------------------
.420" / Handle thickness, '2' Ti slabs & '1' G10 slab / no blade.
.187" / Blade thickness
--------------------------------------
.607" / Add the blade and this is what we have, not including washers [which would add a few thousandths].
Where is the discrepancy???
Thanks, looking forward to this one; and thanks also for the updates.
That is what I am hoping and assuming also, that is why I was questioning the specs as they are listed.I'm assuming (and I hope I'm not wrong) that the titanium on the g-10 side will be thinner than on the lock side and that the titanium and g-10 together will add up to .140. Though the math still doesn't seem to add up.![]()
I totally with what you say about the pics, that is how it looks. :thumbup:It appears from the proto pics...
0.140" Titanium only side (with frame lock)
0.140" Titanium Fram & G-10 COMBINED Thickness
0.187" Blade thickness, +whatever the gap with washers is
So it will be 0.467"+washer gap
Not quite the same dispcrepancy as you thought. But a thickness of less than 0.5" makes sense for comforts sake.
That has been on there a while. This is the advertised warranty
