DPx H-E-S-T the knife to save for?

I think I'll go with the H-e-s-t over the Izula. My RAT collection is catching up with my Glock collection :D

I'm really looking foward to getting the H.E.S.T. knife and hopefully an IZULA with it, They should go nicely with my RC 4. I think it would be interesting to hear the story behind it's design or what motivated RYP to design the H.E.S.T.
 
HAHA!! I just got my RC6 and Izula today, and I am already in for (2) DPx HESTs. It's nice to know there's a support group here for people like us:)
 
yes I can't wait. I've put in for mine. The pic of the 2 H.E.S.T. s above; which design will the final product have? This is the only knife I'm allowing myself to get this year (besides the IZULA which will arrive pretty soon).
 
I don't know if he's taking preorders or not yet but I just shot Derrick at KSF an e-mail about preordering the HEST. I'll let ya know as soon as I get a reply as to whether or not he's taking preorders.

Handle scales will not fit with capsule snapped into place since the capsule will bulge out and form a natural rounded handle. Really comfortable when wrapped with cord.

A friend and I are really digging the Hest knife. Do we know when it will be shipping? RAT, thanks for the side by side picture with the Izula. I like my Izula but I think I'll like the bigger handle on the Hest more.
