I wear slim (not skinny type of slim) dress pants often. I love my pocket knives (scouts, stockmans, peanuts and mini canoes).. I carry different ones when waring this..

What pocket knife do you carry when wearing dresspants?

Northwoods Norfolk, GEC 33 Conductor, GEC 68 White Owl, any single blade GEC 15, or the GEC Houndtooth. All do very well in dress situations.

Spyderco Chaparral or Delica..... Spyderco has got plenty of smaller ones. But the Chaparral is THIN and classy :-)

Victorinox Cadet or Electrician in silver Alox are good choices. I don't know exactly about "dress pants" but my regular daily apparel consists of Dockers Classic cotton slacks which seem to have the same number and arrangement of pockets as my wool suit trousers. I find no difficulty in carrying a medium-sized folder such as a Case Medium Stockman or GEC Pony Jack or any other similarly sized knife. I just slip them in vertically beside my wallet in my back pocket.

I carry a Mini-Copperhead (pen knife). OH

Case mini copperhead wharncliffe in navy blue jigged bone. Small, light, pretty, effective, and won't scare the horses.

In dress slacks I like to carry a single-backspring "pen" knife - GEC White Owl or Conductor.

Ix-nay on the odern-may ives-knay.

Are you asking about Sunday go-to-meeting knives, or knives that won't imprint in dress slacks?

The GEC #15 pattern is a light, yet capable knife in the single blade versions.

I carry this swayback for church and other special occassions.

I re-read the original post carefully and I see that he's not asking for recommendations since he already has knives that he carries in his dress pants, but was just wondering what the rest of us carry.

So to clarify my earlier post. I only wear jeans maybe once a week at work (Fridays). I work in an office and my slacks could fall under the "dress slacks" category. No cargo pockets, no carpenters pants, no watch pocket. 4 pockets. So I don't have a special "dress pants" carry because that's my all of the time carry.

So I carry whatever I want to carry that day. I rarely go smaller than 3 1/4" closed length, and rarely go over 4 1/4" closed length. Within that range I carry stockmans, jacks, trappers, muskrat. Made by Case or Buck.

If I weren't into pocket knives as a hobby and just wanted to carry a cutting tool for the pure utility of it, I'd carry a Victorniox Alox Cadet and never look at another knife. In fact I find the Cadet handy enough to where I've started carrying one of them in addition to whatever else I'm carrying.

I'd pick the Pioneer because I find the main blade more to my liking. That being said, the 2013 Forum knife sure would be classy enough to sit in a pair of slacks!
