Dress pants pocket knife

I carry a bark river city knife and usually one of my Charlows. I put one in each front pocket. I am 6'3" and 180 ish. I find it easy to carry either or both with no printing. Usually have the cell phone in the pocket with the BR. I wear dress slacks everyday for work.

I've had great luck with either of these two.

Single blade ebony Pemberton ... very thin and just a bit more "juice" than a peanut or small pen knife.

My thinnest and lightest slipjoint is this Rochester Robeson ShurEdge from between the world wars. 3.17", single spring and only 27 grams (0.95 oz.).
The tip bolsters really add to the dressiness, kinda like wearing spats with a tux!

My Sunday knife is always this Dan Burke by QUEEN black lip MOP complete with subtle file work front and back
and BG42 steel.

GEC Conductor or White Owl in ebony, older Vic Excelsior in silver alox, Buck Knight, or Case Peanut. All small and light enough to not cause dress pants to bulge or sway around when walking.

I typically carry one of the following when wearing dress slacks: Snakewood Pemberton, Ebony Conductor, Ivory Northwoods Norfolk, Ebony GEC 85 EO SFO, Curly Birch Le Thiers Compact, Cocobolo White Owl, or another gentleman's folder which I won't name as it has a thumb stud.

I sew a line about a 1/2 inch from the straight side of my pocket and carry my favorite old timer or swiss army. It holds it in the perfect position and I can keep it with my cell phone without scratching it.

With a suit you wear the jacket, with formal trousers I also wear a jacket and much prefer stowing a knife in the inside pocket of the coat anyway. But even so, a lighter knife is needed. Single spring CASE Pen, GEC Conductor, Northwoods/GEC Northfolk is a good choice for this too. I even like a small 9cm Laguiole from Fontenille Pataud, as these come with a soft leather slip it makes carrying much easier, you get a lot of blade in a compact frame with these.

When I wear dress slacks, I prefer stuff to be flat in terms of its profile. I find it imprints less than knives/tools with a squarish side profile.

Rarely am I seen in dress slacks, but of course to me SLIM is the ticket here. So for me it would be one of my single blade folders like the #55 or my single spear #85 EO. Not small knives but they're very slim. In fact my #79 even though 2-blade is actually very slim as it's blades are one at each end in configuration. Or this half-Congress is slim and elegant in elephant ivory...
