In the most recent "Pay it Forward" thread I offered up a Spyderco Domino with a great custom desert ironwood scale by spketch. My thoughts on doing so were that, as I wasn't likely to carry the knife, it should go to someone who would enjoy it and hopefully use it. Sadly, the member I gave it to (Dsun) posted the knife for sale immediately upon receiving it:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1392365-Pay-It-Forward-it-s-been-a-while?p=16219518#post16219518

This is AFTER he sent me this email upon receipt of the knife:

John
Yes, I did receive the domino and I am enjoying it a lot. Thanks again

Sincerely, David

I bet you are, David.

Now, I realize that anytime a knife is given away in one of these types of threads there is always a chance that the recipient will take advantage of the situation. I knew the job was somewhat dangerous when I took it. But what bothers me even more about the reprehensible action of selling the knife is the fact that he didn't live up to his commitment to send a ZT 0560 to Knivesandreels. That probably comes as no surprise, but apparently Knivesandreels was planning to give the 0560 to his little brother who is just getting into knives.

I highly encourage the Bladeforums community to avoid dsun, and frankly I feel he should be given an infraction or possibly be banned for his actions.

edited-After reading the Pay it forward thread, I see everything is spelled out as to what should and shouldn't be done.

What's the old saying? No good deed goes unpunished. But we got to keep Fight'n the good fight Brother.

I'm glad you started this GBU thread for this person. I even posted in that thread about this whole scenario and to regift it if you didn't want it anymore. I will not being doing business with DSUN and I advise others to do the same.

Here's another bit of evidence that points to his slimy nature:

Hey John,
Sorry to bother you in your busy day but I just wanted to thank you for your overwhelming generosity. You are the kind of people we need in the knife community. Also if you feel like shipping is too expensive, I can definitely take care of it myself. Just let me know. I just wanted to send this email to properly thank you as you are truly a gem of a human being! Thank you

Sincerely, David

If someone couldn't figure out how the Pay it Forward is supposed to work they shouldn't be trusted to hold sharp things.
It was quite clearly stated how this all was supposed to work and selling the item the day after you receive it wasn't it.

My ignore list was empty up until recently.

Looking at his profile, he hasn't logged in for a few days.

Real shady thing to do. :/

I will watch for him trying to sell it on FB or what not.

What a conniving, sleazy slime ball move! His despicable actions, are definitely worthy of a ban IMO! :thumbdn:

Definitely going on the ignore list. Thanks for the heads up OP. This guy should be kicked to the curb!

One less miscreant for me to deal with. He's had a lot of visitors to his profile.

The Pay It Forward Thread is really nice. I'll find something worthy to throw in the kitty.

Huge Douche
He has NO FEEDBACK should have been
the first RED FLAG
These people are getting quite brazen
Set of gonads Id say..
Also look at his profile
No PM option..No email option..??
