you still owe me 2 knives or my money back! I've been patient for too long...

wow 6 years. sure hope ya get your knives or money back. that is ridiculous. longer than waiting list at randall and these are no randalls.
 
Its taken a bit, but I finally received a couple emails from Dwaines buddy, Keith. Here is what they said,

Hello Joe. Dwaine is in a clinic trying to heal from his disease. I’m a close friend and I come by his place about once a week to check on it and answer a few emails that I can. He isn’t ignoring you. I will let him know you sent this message and ask him about your knife next week or weekend when I go back. You might reply to this so I see it when I come back. I have personally shipped out 5 or 6 knives for him that werer done but he has a lot of knives here that are partially built to that he’ll have to finish up when he gets back.

I just sent you an email to your other one. Dwaine hasn’t built any new knives in months literally. If you are seeing knvies they are inventory trades or something else but he’s been in and out of hospitals and clinics for months on end fighting this disease. Someone sent an email the other day saying they knew he was buiding knives because Arizona listed a few that had been on the site for months and when they relisted them new dates showed up that made it look like they just got them but he himself hasn’t been shipping any but I have shipped a few that were done to his pre tornado customers while he’s been away.

He shouldn't be taking any money or orders till these back ones are filled!!!

Please report back with info about police & legal actions here, it seems to just be a void right now. Take him to small claims court, get a default judgement as I expect he'll not even show up, then you get the local sheriff to enforce the order (and maybe end up with a knife from his current stock)

edit: just checked those 2, and they are used/2nd hand knives that ACK is selling
 
Joe, I've been in and out of the Clinic a lot dealing with this situation of mine that's causing a constant non-stop medium grade sepsis from endotoxin leaking from my gut into my bloodstream that's almost killed me about 4 times now. Nonetheless, I'm home and I'm getting some work done. Give me a week or two and I'll have your Cobra M5/Damascus/Double Ti done. Do you want a Blue or Blue/Gold Clip?

Geoff Jackson received his knife but never updated his thread for some reason, but I will.

Stephan, give me another week or two and I'll have one of your M4's done; the other one with CPM-154 and Case Hard Blade. I can't remember which one I already shipped you? Was it the one with OD Green G10 or Coyote Brown? Those were ordered when I was making them as Framelocks but upgraded you and everyone else to the new Button Lock and I don't have any Coyote Brown G10.

Six others beside Geoffe have received their knives, too. You guys bear with me. I know this has been frustrating for some, and I'm doing the best I can to get caught up on these last existing orders while simultaneously trying to stay alive, literally.
 
Hey Guys - Dwaine reached out to me and said he would have mine done in 2 weeks back on June 11th, so that was good to hear. I think he has some shop help now too.
 
This sounds exactly like Daniel Koster fall. The fact that Carrillo is providing knives to Dealers and not to individuals with long stunning orders is all I need to know.
 
Guys - Just a follow a follow up from my last post. I was asked for my address so my knife could be shipped out. That was 2 and 1/2 months ago. When I followed up with Dwaine, I got the same response that I have have for the past several years. Not doubting that he is going through major issues, but I was optimistic that I was actually going to see my knife, but not anymore. Don’t buy into the false hope if you are told your knife is almost done.

and 1 Cobra Model 4 (Modified’s) with case hard flats and blue clips, with Coyote Brown G10.
I got 1 with Green OD G10.

Folks, I'm a member from a long time ago, and I don't come here often, but I must say that after reading through this abortion of a thread, any of you that still believes that he or his pseudo-pal that is "posting in his absence" actually mean what they are saying are utterly delusional. Oh yeah, he's feeling better, two more weeks, you'll have your knife (after 2, 3 5 years?), seriously???
Look, talented knife maker or not, one thing he IS talented at is scamming you guys, some of you over and over and over... That is SAD, you guys need to chalk it up to being robbed and move on, you are NEVER going to get a refund or the knife you ordered. Either that, or take a road trip and go beat hell outta him, if that makes you feel any better. Be careful, though, he's probably carrying a knife...(YOUR knife!!!)
 
He personally just sold one on eBay:

Whether he is ill or not, do not plan on getting a knife from him...ever. If you (like me) paid in full upfront you won’t ever see a knife from Dwaine. You have simply subsidized his medical care or getting his new shop equipment after the tornado hit from like 8 years ago. He continues to make for his dealers (Windy City and AZCK), but won’t honor his actual paid for orders.
 
Hate to write this but Dwaine's email tripwire7@cox.net is not longer working, he scammed me out of $1300!!

This was his last message to me,


Hey Joe,
I finally sold a piece of property (we are still negotiating it, but I’m 100% sure it’s a done deal) I’ve been trying to sell for some time now. I’m going to refund everyone I’m making back order knives for plus interest, including you. I’m finally healing up from this disease, but I’m tired. It has sucked the life out of me for over two years, but I finally found the cure. I’m not going to finish these backorders, I’m just going to refund everyone’s money. I’m too mentally exhausted and need a break.


It may be a few weeks to a month before I actually get the cash, so please don’t say anything to anyone. I don’t want everyone blowing up my emails just yet, lol. If you hear anyone out there bad mouthing me, feel free to chime and let them know something huge is about to happen for everyone I owe knives to, but don’t say anything other than that.


I’m going to take a few months off, then I’m buying another piece of property with a home already on and building a new shop and coming out with some new models and making a brand new fresh start. It’s been hell, but it is finally over.


Sorry for the inconvenience I’ve caused you and everyone else, but it’s finally over, thank God.
