Where will he go next?? I guess we will find out when he gets there!!

So long Earl!! I enjoyed the visit!!

Earl's whirl wind tour is off to an excellent start, beautiful place you live in Charlie!
Very glad he got a little family time in before he continues on his travels. Charlie has set the bar pretty high for the rest of us to follow.
Can't wait to see where he shows up next, kinda like where's Waldo but with a Barlow!!:D

Earl looks like he's in for the adventure of a life time.

Safe travels, Earl. Don't take any wooden nickels and watch out for the hipsters sporting pocket clips.

What a great idea!! I'm glad you added my spot, mqqn! I don't have a clue. Perhaps you can be the keeper of the map, if needed??

We might as well have one more vacationer stop by the NJ shore. Earl is more than welcomed here.

I took delivery of an old saw-cut bone Ulster Barlow today, one that had eluded me for a good while. I spent about 3 hours cleaning and fixing her up to my liking - the main blade tip had about 1/16 inch of the tip missing and I re-pointed that blade, then did a good amount of rubbing to satin down the shiny finished and peppered blades. Although it was never advertised or pictured to show the knife personalized, I noticed the backsprings had been engraved to suit a previous owner named Dave. I immediately thought of Earl and started laughing upon discovery of it.

Dave would be honored to meet Earl while Earl is traveling the world. Dave thinks a Barlow party would be fun to share with Earl. ;):)

Earl stopped in to visit on his way back from Charlie’s mumbling something about Canadian Customs (I didn’t quite make out what he said but he sounded grumpy). We’re only about three hours drive from Canada and he seemed well rested after his recent visit. Well, we were all glad to see him, of course, and so had quite a party goin’ for him before someone threw a monkeywrench into the mix.

I decided to show him around the neighborhood on a rare sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest.

Checking out the local native art:

I showed him the ‘jade’ boulder:

Visited Kingston:

Oh, I miss Washington. Until it starts to rain. :p I'm glad Earl got some nice weather. Thanks for the photos, Barry! And welcome back to the USA, EARL!

Earl really seemed to like the carved cedar Suquamish totems.

View looking south to Seattle:

"Earl, I told you not to stay in one place too long, now look whats happened!"

A stop at the pub and one for the road:
