Many thanks Evan for the pleasure of having Earl for a while, it was great watching him on his travels!
Looks like he has found a good place to rest up at Tony`s place, lucky little barlow!!
Thank you Evan for not just the opportunity to show EARL some North Dakota hospitality but one of the most interesting and enjoyable threads in the traditional forum:thumbup:
That was quite an adventure Earl went on. Thanks go out to all for hosting and sharing pics with us all on his journey. I can't imagine a more fitting end for Earl.
I wish I could go out in style like Earl and visit with many of the great folks of this forum.
I agree with Duncan; I'm gonna miss EARL's adventures, although I can't imagine a better ending for EARL's journeys than what Evan has arranged and reported here. RIP, EARL!!
(Of course, I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that EARL occasionally goes out on the town in Terre Haute or Vincennes. Shoot, Louisville KY isn't that far from EARL's current drawer, and we know he's got at least one cutie stashed there - see post #167!! :thumbup
Oh Darn! Just found out about Earls retirement well can't be mad with his resting place. If their is another traveling knife then let him/her spend some time in the Queen City that is Buffalo, NY. Great story Evan I enjoyed reading the story of Earl
Maybe we just need another world-traveling knife to follow in Earl's footsteps, to pick up where he left off. Has anyone come across an old jackknife with "Floyd" carved in the handle, or maybe a trapper named "Cletus"?
I don't know, I suppose it wouldn't quite be the same. Everyone remembers Neil Armstrong and "One small step for man " but how many people remember Pete Conrad, third man to walk on the moon, who so eloquently remarked, "Whoopee!"
