I looking at and bid on a 110 on ebay and it's listed as a 3rd version, is it a
3rd version ? or is it a pre 68 second version? i looked in my Levine's 5th
edition and going by that it says the knife is a pre 68 second version, I asked
the seller a question and he says it has the integral spacer and his book say
that spacer was used in the 3rd version, take a look and let me know what
you guys think
Thanks alot

I take that to mean that you only have four of those at this time?

I very well may have 1 or 2 or 3:) , but i don't remember:confused:
so i thought maybe i should buy this just in case:p , just kidding, i don't
have one with the little dot after the buck stamp

The blade stamp and the integral spacer indicate that it's a third version, 1966-67. The second version, 1965, had a bone-hard fiber spacer and BUCK was stamped horizontally along the rear top edge of the blade.

I'd go with 1966-67 Third-Version, Blade's Guide says there's 7 variations on the Third-Version.

I looked in my levine's guide and there is a picture with the exact blade markings and it says it's a pre-1968 second version , page 129

My book shows there are 3 type's of the First Version
First version type 1 stamp mark, 1963 about 700 made
First verstion type 2 etched mark, 1964, about 2000 made
First verstion type 3 stmped mark, 1964-65 , about 5000 made

then there is the Second Version 110 and it says in this version the spacer
between the cap bolsters is integral and the earliest second version 110s
are stamped BUCK, then in 1968 the stamp was changed to BUCK/USA , so
early second versions are stamped BUCK, then sometime in 1968 they were
stamped BUCK/USA

then my book says the Third Versions start out with brass spacers then switch to steel.

these early 110s are confusing

1 line, read tip down..some just BUCK and others with the dot high and to the right of the 'K'
