Earthquake!! M8.8 in Japan

My mother ordered 20kg rice from website and it was delivered today.
My dad bought 5kg rice after looking around some shops by car.
I said them it was needless but they said it was essential must prepared daily supplies.
I cooked Udon(うどん) yesterday and ate Zouni(雑煮) today.

Kanpan乾パン (hard tack) and Kompeito (こんぺいと)? in case you need to hit the road.

If you have too much cooked rice left , you can rinsing them with water and put them on a screen or paper then air dry, after they dry out put the rice in a jar for longer storage period.

My family couldn't stop reading newspaper.
I had to share Urban Master video to make them sleep.

I searched about bugouts from this forum, at there many people posted that it is a fantasy.
Here is over 200km away from Fukushima complex and I think it is needless or impossible to bugout, in fact and at present.

I hope the supply chain gets better as time goes on.

ikuyadas, if rice can be ordered online, maybe you can order canned goods too.
The Fukushima reactors appear to still be a problem, but 200 km is really far away in my opinion, and the thing to be careful about buying is fresh produce (milk, vegetables, eggs) from that area due to radiation, but again, my understanding is the probability is small if you are far enough away.
I hope I spelled this right.... Ganbatte!

I went to local supermarket (TAKAO) see the produce from Japan all labeled " Before Disaster" and products from Kantō region all gone

My sister saw long car lines to gasoline station EVEN in Tokyo on Sunday.
She didn't confirm that family cars were almost of that lines at then.

[EDIT1]

Also my sister said that some argument was happened around her co-workers.
One of their co-workers has lived in Sendai and met earthquake,
he has his family and still doesn't connect to his mother,
public order is not good in Sendai and he talked to one of them that they need help...

Co-workers in Tokyo argued what they could do.
He cannot evacuate Sendai because his mother is still not found,
his family need help but it's difficult to leave Sendai,
co-workers cannot send relief goods because private logistics don't work at all,
they cannot use car to help them because they cannot be back to Tokyo,
and they can store their donate but it is not immediately.

I said to my sister;
BMW 1200GS could transport 60l kerosene at Kobe earthquake 1995,
and Honda Super Cub can run 50-80km per 1l gasoline and have a big loading place.
It might carry some goods to them if additional gasoline bottle could be loaded,
but gasoline was sold out all around eastern coast of Japan,
and all of them doesn't know Sendai, so I think it is not easy.

After that personal delivery was recovered. (2011/03/20-23:07 pressed)

Hidden panic continues and aftershocks are still going on, Maybe I'm also.
I'm trying not to get worse to anything but it's not all about successful.
Already stored cans, water and rice that is quite well secure situation.

Appreciated for your donation to our friends. I browsed some charity event was hold in Taiwan.
My family heard that Japanese Red Cross stores donations until September and doesn't deliver these immediately for fairness. (from radio)
