ECCK Show is approaching fast!

Congrats, guys!
I can remember how good it feels to come home with a new XM. It truly becomes an adult game of show-n-tell because you cannot stop playing with it/admiring it and people do notice.

stevekolt, you said "spanto slicer". I assume you mean a very sharp Spanto?

Sorry, still crazed, meant to type spanto flipper...

That's what I got too.

A spanto XM-24 flipper with grey scales and a tumbled, stone washed finish.

I'm pretty sure I got the one on the far left of Strider214's pic:

My choice was between that one and the digi-camo 2nd to the left.

ECCKS was my first Knife Show, it was a blast. Meeting and hanging out with the Hinderer Gang was a blast. Great group of guys (Rick, Rob, Mike, Pete, Rene)
Went both days Friday and Saturday. The Lottery(s) were great, very exciting. I liked Fridays the Best:)

Thanks Rob for pointing out a knife I almost missed (Had my sunglasses on )

Great to see old friends and make some new ones! Scott, great to hang with you and your beautiful wife Kim and getting to know you a bit. Thanks to everyone for supporting Hinderer Knives!

I'm jealous...the only knife show I get to see is when someone pulls one on me. :D
Got to make a point to take a trip for me one of these days instead of accommodating everyone else. Congrats to all who attended especially those who came home with white boxes!

Back at ya Mike, Kim had a blast. A weekend of "Firsts" ....... Knife Show, Meeting you guys in person, Lobster (whole) for Kim, a Night she doesn't remember much BUT got up and did it again Saturday.

I will say this about the Knife Show and the Hinderer Gang, for anybody who owns, wishes to own, just admires or is curious about the Hinderer Brand.

Make it to a Show.

Almost regardless of expense ( I drove 400+ miles, round trip 2 days, gas, food, parking, etc.) IF I had not won the lottery Friday.....It still would have been worth every penny for the experience, comradre,
meeting the guys.
There were no surprises. I felt I already knew these guys before I got there. Having communicated with most of them many times before hand. Still, I walked up to Rob first and basically said, "Hey Rob, It's Scott".
Mike (Hammer) introduced himself in a way unique to Mike.
I introduced myself to Rick.
Pete and Rene we met as the day went on.
It was like being with guys I grew up with. These are really really unusual guys in this day and age. What do I mean?
Back in the day and I still do it I suppose, I used to size up a guy by thinking ... would I want to have to depend on this guy when the $h!t hits the fan.
Basically, would I want him in my foxhole.
I'd take any one of these guys in a minute and that list for me - isn't very long.

So, Great weekend in the history book. Glad I did it.
I thank the guys for effortlessly making it a very special experience and I personally encourage anyone ever considering it to - Make it to a show that Hinderer is at.

Congratulations Rubi on picking up that DLC! I wish I knew you were there on Friday.

I tried Man. I posted on the Forum " Where you at" but obviously while technology brought all of us together - it doesn't speak to us from a cloud in real time.
N2K had sent me an email and thankfully I went back day #2 because I didn't read emails Day#1. I wasn't able to score what he sought but I got an answer and was glad to be able to provide him with ironclad
intelligence from the horses mouth (no pun intended)
Show was a blast and meeting and hanging with the guys was very cool.

Scott, you scored one of my GRAILS! Right on, my friend.
Thank you for inquiring on my behalf about that "puzzle piece". Someday soon, someday soon for sure.
Meeting fellow knife nuts is always cool. And I am glad to know you.
I have spoken with the Hinderer folk face to face at Blade 2011, even got to shake Rick's hand!!! Great group, no doubt! I'll be sure to introduce myself again at Blade 2012 since I was not a forum member/contributor back then. That has changed a bit. (not that all my contributions merit any recognition) ;)

It was a Great weekend Man. This is my first 24 and first quasi- custom Hinderer. I like it very very much.

Thats a gorgeous Hinderer! I normally don't like coated blades but that tan looks awesome! Enjoy it brother!
I didn't get lucky at the lotto this time but I was still able to score my first Hinderer at a great deal. I love it!

Thank you and Congrats! Man. Love to see it. I will say this about "Our" Hobby..... Hinderer, it doesn't get any better than this.

Great show. Great folks. I got lucky. Here's my new 24:

Comparison with my 18. A big thanks to Clay Allison of Wicked Edge for tuning up the edge while I was at the lottery.

Nice knives. I just don't like how big the edge is on the tips of the Edge Pro puts on...

Thanks. I agree! I am in awe of how great they are. To me, it's the refinement of a CRK crossed with the toughness and heft of a Strider. Just awesome. I got an XM-18 3.5" Flipper/ Spanto. It has the Duratech 20CV steel- looking forward to trying it out. It's not as unique as that DLC model you got, but I love it! Here's a couple pics:

Just got home, and I feel like someone hit me with a slegehammer handle........Most smaller shows don't knock the hell out of me, but this one was Blade Show like! Busy start to finish, and damn near zero sleep!

Thanks to everyone for stopping by the table, and of course a huge thank you for your participation in the lotteries and your business. I met quite a few new folks from here, but I absolutely suck at putting screen names and real names together, but thanks again.

Jaxx and Trevor, it's always great to see you guys, 3 months we'll be doing it all again. :D

Scott, you and Kim added one hell of a new dynamic to our gang, and I echo your sentiments. Good times ahead, rest assured...and lots of stories that will start with, "remember the time"! Most that we can only share amonst ourselves, like the blonde wig........We won't mention to anyone that Kim showed us cell phone pics of your fetish, not a word, swear. :D
