EDC Bags, RATS, and Stuff

Hey 42 blades the way you have your 550 chord woven into that ring do you have a link to instructions for that? ive been trying to find instructions for years now and been failing miserably, i was down at airbrone school and saw a guy doing it and he showed me how and a month later i had forgotten and its driven me nuts ever since.

id greatly appreciate any help you could give me.

Don't forget toilet paper in your BoBs and GHBs!

Anybody use a Maxpedition Collossus.................??
I'm thinking about getting one.

I use a Versipack Jumbo for my EDC stuff. I occasionally have to drive a ways for work and wanted a convenient way to carry some emergency stuff in case something happens along the way. I had a regular Fatboy Versipack but it wasn't big enough (the Fatboy is holding shotgun shells, they fit perfectly!). The Jumbo has enough room for everything that I want, with extra space in case I want to add something, and it has a big water bottle pouch on the side.

Edited to add:

The Jumbo even comes with an RC-3 pocket!

I only carry it from the house to the car and back. I don't actually walk around with it

That's a nicely thought out edc. I had a Jumbo versipack myself but decided that I prefer a backpack to the bigger sling bags, but the versipack was as nice of a bag as I have seen. I thought that it was a well designed bag, and as your pictures show, it can hold a lot of gear.

Are those magnum boots?

If they are good choice when through a pair in Iraq, best boots I have had for warm weather! Have another pair just for bummin around.

Those are Garmont brand boots, with Vibram soles, and are the most durable and comfortable boots I've ever worn. I've been beating on that pair for a few years now and not a single issue. I used to wear Danners but the soles would wear through in a year or so, these ones are still going strong. The Vibram soles are amazing for durability, and it really takes the oomph out of any jolts that would otherwise hurt.

Ernest Emerson sells them through his site, which is how I found out about them. I just got a pair of these on sale and absolutely love them (the desert color doesn't blend in well for daily wear, though I made do with it before the new colors came out because the boots are so damned comfortable!)

Heres a couple of youtube vids to show you how to do it.

Thanks for the pics! It looks much like a larger version of the kit I carry in my Malaga gearslinger. :) The single-shoulder bags are great for EDC.

Agreed!! I love being able to access my Sitka w/o having to take it off. Perfect urban EDC:thumbup: Although I do prefer double should bags for hiking when I will go for longer periods with my pack on.

Nice set-ups. I'll try to put the finishing touches (for now anyway) on mine tonight and post it up.

Halworks,
I was wondering, if you had the time, could you post a list of everything you have in your bag. Thanks

"Hey F**k Face" ??
I think I'd just shoot you first and take your pack. lol

Just kidding, but seriously, there's something to be said about flying under the radar should one of these SHTF scenarios ever really happen and you need that pack.
