EDC II Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Unusual piece of cutting for this one. A piece of 1 1/2" poly tube with 1/4" wall thickness. Tough as a pine knot. Use this as secondary containment for high pressure fuel lines. This stuff grabs your blade and doesn't want to let go. Shouldn't complain though, cutting it was a piece of cake compared to threading a high pressure line through 25 feet of it. :)

While my daughter was sleeping, I carved a slack-jawed toothless yokel. ( I'll apologize in advance to any slack-jawed toothless yokels, I'm not sure on the P.C. term for this group of people :-)

DrPenguin, I use to use my Opinel for poly tube daily, goes through like a warm knife through butter, trick is don't push too hard just a nice smooth slicing motion.

Nice handiwork there stich, looks like some of my friends. :)

This PVC pipe, well it wasn't like anything I've ever cut. Bent a razor on it before resorting to the knife. I've cut garden hose, compression stuff, and all manner of hose and tube but nothing like this stuff. It is tough but sticky as hell at the same time. Should have seen us threading the fuel line into it. We ran a plastic snake down it and then duct taped the line to it and pulled it back through... between me pulling on one end, another guy pushing it into the tube at the other, and another couple guys shaking the thing to give us slack we managed. Would have been comical if it had been someone else. :)

Thanks, looks like some of my buddies also. I've been involved in some seriously silly productions, me and my work partner use to laugh all day. My favorite was when I was working for a guy doing apartment renovations, we would demo 2 kitchens, and 2 baths, in a day, paint and new VCT tile, we demoed the wrong unit the day before Thanksgiving, we realized after the cabinets and countertop that got del. were the mirror image, we were to demo the unit across from her.
She was not happy, we made her a temp counter out of 2x4 and plywood :-)

The Alien isn't getting his GB back! In fact, I "marked" her with a lanyard so she's truly mine now. She ain't going back! I'm using her like a man should, too :D
