I got mine a few days ago... And so far, it is my favorite knife in my humble collection, aside from the special ones. It's a heavy knife for sure, but in a good way. It fills the hand nicely, and the blade is nice and thick. The gimping is functional, and the handle scales feel very durable. The lockup is very solid (zero blade play), and in the few days I've used it, it's gotten very smooth. Smooth enough to make opening and closing a breeze with the Axis lock flick trick thing. The blade came as sharp as any production knife could come, and being D2, it should stay sharp longer than a lot of other blades (in theory, I've yet to have a knife with D2 steel until now). Overall, it's well worth the money. Hell, I'd probably pay more than I did for it if I had to.
I see a very long service life out of this one.
I think Benchmade definitley hit a grand slam with the Adamas. I have two of them, and like you would have paid more than I did had that been the selling price! They are that good.
First task for the peanut this morning was to open the package containing my newly acquired 6232 jack knife (thank you KeyeEl!).
