Let's see the punch dagger!

I found it at a Gun/Knife Show in NY a few weeks ago, $14. I like the way it can attach to your belt or belt loop. I have a mix of good quality knives and cheapos like this. If something draws me to it, I'll buy it. Obviously it doesn't compare to my Cold Steel Safe Keeper III but even a cheap blade can serve a purpose.

Very rarely is it the system that does that. Most of the time it's just the knife itself. The stock gets thicker near the tip, but on a guided system the edge angle stays the same - which results in widening of the bevel at the tip.

Constant angle + increasing stock thickness = increased bevel thickness. You see this on freehand edges as well, but not at commonly since most of us naturally adjust our angle near the tip.

Thats kinda what I was saying. You'll see it more often from someone using a guided system then you would an edge that was done free hand. That's why I assumed the edge on that Umnumzann was done with a guided system. But who knows maybe it wasn't done with a system. Maybe he did it free hand and just likes the look of wide bevels.

Anyhow,
it's not a big deal.

Back to the show.
It's starting to get colder up here these days. So I'm back to carrying the street beat.

Benchmade Barrage 581 in front right trouser pocket.
Boker Magnum Earl with Damascus blade that lives in my vest pocket. My apple slicer.

It was kind of wet by the time I finished mulching leaves the other day (actually it had been raining steadily for almost all of the three hour chore and I was soaked). My old Victorinox Fieldmaster with the new nylon handles did not get as much a workout as I did, so it was pressed into service to open a refreshing beverage.
