Light duty last night, but again shows the value of always having a knife.

We had dinner in Winston-Salem with friends and family, followed by a concert. I bought cds for my son and nephew, and used the Case 62032 jack that was in my pocket to slice the plastic wrap off so they could get the band members to sign their cds.

Later, as we were sitting out on the deck and I was enjoying a birthday smoke with friends, my wife came out and handed me a tin of mints she had just bought (also wrapped in plastic), and said, "Because I know you have a knife."

As I said, light duty, but here are the knife and Captain Peterson pipe that saw some action last night.

I've been wondering about this for some time. I'm disappointed to hear that it's a two-hander. Is there absolutely no way to "flop and drop" that thing one-handed? Is it just that the lock is too far back in the handle?

The "flop & drop" is doable but it's not very safe, since your hand is directly in the way of the "drop".I'm sending this(CRKT) one back & exchanging it for the smaller version.I like the design, but it was a little too big for my typical EDC.

Chris"Anagarika", i "salvaged" it from an Inron MY-803.. didn't like it, the only good thing about it was the flat head screw it "donated" to the EL-01.
You can also use 3 mm shaft, 0.5 mm thread pitch screws. you can find the either in flat head, Phillips head, or either torx, or even Allen. I have done it to my khaki EL-01(Phillips head screw).the only concern is that you have to use a washer with the screw.

Thanks!
