The "flop & drop" is doable but it's not very safe,since your hand is directly in the way of the "drop".I'm sending this(CRKT) one back & exchanging it for the smaller version.I like the design,but it was a little too big for my typical EDC.

I like it alot.The flipper works well considering the smallish blade.Most small flippers I've had need some wrist action to get them all the way open.Not this one.No bearings either.
Darrel's ergonomics are some of the best in the business in my experience too.It fits my hand perfectly.I don't have really big hands though.I could see how this wouldn't work for someone with big mitts.

The Veleno Designs Quantum DD flashlight. It features a sapphire crystal window, 34 degree flood optic, Cree XP-G R5 1C tint, and can go from 0 lumens to 100 lumens for up to 8 minutes at max output. The light is fully variable and will last much longer on lower output levels.

The light is made of stainless steel with a machined finish. It is 16 grams with the battery.
