Thanks for the added detail! Did you try disassembling the Trident in order to remove the safety switch? I read in another thread that you super-glued yours and I was wondering if that was done in lieu of opening the knife or because the safety can't be removed without adversely affecting functionality. I detest the safety. It comes on occasionally without me engaging it and ruins my otherwise marvelous opening flourish.
Nah. I did not disassemble it. Just superglued the safety in the "fire" position lol. I think the safety can be removed pretty easily. I've seen write ups on how to do it but it just seemed like the more difficult route. I had the same issue as you with the safety coming on which is why I redneck engineered a way around it
