EDC II Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

An interesting knife is offered by AG Russell, it is a folding chefs knife. I could take a pic of mine if anyone is interested. I have used it on some small catered events and brought it on road trips.

I didn't realize that you were offering pictures of yours. I'd love to see some.

Me too! :) There are several folding chef's knives in the Boker Magnum range, but I only have bad experiences of the Magnum knives.

Here's my 2 main kitchen knives. Don't mind the edge covers though, I just keep em' in a kitchen drawer

Went beach camping this weekend. Military was the knife I carried everywhere. It saw whittling, kindling and fuzz stick work, and a lot of food. Mora and Opinel stayed at camp and did a lot of food prep. None of the steels are stainless, they were in a constant wet and humid atmosphere next to salt water, and they cut a LOT of salty and acidic foods (marinated meat, peppers, onions for kebabs. fruits and cheeses for snacks.) and somehow they all avoided any rust problems by only wiping them off after use... go figure.

I am going to actually use this one to cook dinner tonight...

It's a little narrow, so I just wrap the handle with a folded in half paper towel during use for comfort, This knife was used for food prep on tons of motorcycle camping trips when I was living back up north...

Tried out the can opener on the Farmer on a can of chicory coffee.

Thanks,

Well, it is chicory coffee. ;) I'm not sure how common it is outside of Louisiana. Normally, I do Community Dark Roast, but this was calling me the other day. Plus, I wanted the tin can. :D

I'm about an hour from Cafe Du Monde. We have beignets here, but I still prefer to go to New Orleans for them.

New Queen straight jack is not fully rebevelled, but it still opened up the robust clamshell packaging on the the new water programer I got my wife for her garden as a mother's day gift. (Yes, I got her flowers, too, as did our son. Son lives in Honolulu and sent a lei.)
