Not my pics, I need new batteries for my camera.
Recently I visited the local knife shop and found a gem in the consignment display.
I picked up a user(in good condition minus the blade scratches) Kershaw 1520 Ricochet.
This is one of their older and hard to find knives as it's long been discontinued because it took too much money to produce.
It's the brother of the original 1510 Random Task only with a drop point, not a wharncliffe.
The prices on these things new is $225 plus. I was able to pick mine up(worth much more than what I paid) for under $50. I guess someone didn't realize what they had, and people weren't buying because they didn't know about the knife and it's history.
Ti liners, CPM-440v steel, polished G-10 handles, and even Ken Onion himself said it's handmade quality in a production knife. It was named 1998 Knife of the Year at Blade. That'll give you an idea of how old and rare it is.
One of the first speedsafe knives made, and it is flawless. A wonderful beautiful knife with history and I'm happy I ended up with it.
So, the Ricochet is the knife that beat out my Large Sebenza as my main carry and EDC.
My second carry knife is the awesome Spyderco Dragonfly BRG ZDP-189. Excellent little blade that rides in my left pocket and is going nowhere. It was a Christmas gift.
And of course my Hinderer Pen goes where I go.
