Some folks like using their rights to whatever level they feel personally comfortable. I carry a single handgun (I'm overweight so not in the front like HWF, yes I'm envious be quiet LOL) and a couple of folders. However, a buddy of mine carries two handguns, a backup mag for each, a fixed blade, a multitool, and three folders. Like me, he's licensed so he's allowed. I DID make fun of him however, because his two handguns weren't the same make so he was always carrying too many mags. He took my advice, and now he has a Glock 19 and a 26. That way he carries a spare G19 mag (has another in his bag) and it fits either handgun. Sure, I think it's overkill because he's an IT manager, but I support his right to do it.

I guess you guys live in tough areas eh?

Research crime in South Florida. That's where I live right now.

Also, bad things happen in those "that would never happen in my town" areas of the country as well. Safety is an illusion. Being heads up and having the right mindset will get you pretty far, but it's nice to have a weapon for a "it would never happen to me" moment.

And to stay on track:

Tonight's bladed carry

Took it apart to drill some pocket clip holes, semi-polished the liners and tang to improve the action.
It worked pretty well. I have the pivot set with no side-side play and it flipps ok. If I loosen the pivot to just barely some side movement it flips just fine, so I figure once the oil works in perfect it will be right as rain.
Still off center though. Haven't been able to fix that yet.

No, I don't. But the fact is, it's our right to be able to carry those things. And really, that's the point. If someone wants to carry TEN handguns concealed, and have every pocket lined with tactical folders, hey, more power to him (or her!).

BladeCommander, I just want to say that I hate you and everything you stand for. LOL

That Benchmade 635 is outside of my current comfort zone, but every time you (and one other person, I think) post up a pic, I am drooling. And that Zing is still looking great, I really really need to look into custom scales for a few of my blades. I don't have the tools to make 'em myself, so I'm going to have to give some folks in the Customs section some business here soon.

Here's me today:

LOL, hey thanks. It took me a while to find one of these benchmades, but I love it.
The scales are something I play around with as a side hobby for my knives that need some flair. Its fun and rewarding.

I have been looking at the shuffle for a while now. For less than $20 its a sweet little blade. and the lanyard ring/pry tool/flathead is no small addition. Will definitely pick one up from walmart next time I wander over to the sporting goods dept.
