I'm curious more as to why rather than if it's good. My taste would dictate to avoid anything with an unnecessary paintjob , as this merely advertises to niche markets rather than the more practically focused one.

I do like the knife, but I have a feeling I'd prefer it with out the cowting .. Just a thought.

Well the knife was made for military, so it's there as camo.
They make a 0300 which is all black with no stripes.

The more I looked at it the more I liked the purple (took me an hour to pull the trigger). It is so freakin perfect overall. I have some smooth midtechs but this one is amazing.

Your Childress is awesome. Beautiful color with the damascus.
 
Don't usually EDC a bali but today went with a Bradley Kimura 3.
Got it as a blem and can't find a thing wrong with it.
These are great balisongs, smooth and very tough.
