How you liking that 0550? Is the detent all right, or is it crazy hard to open? I'm thinking of ordering one next month.

Yeah, it's a bit hard to open. But I just got it and am still learning the knife. It's a beast, but it's not the detent that makes it hard to open, exactly. It's more of the angle of my hand and position of the thumb stud for me.
And yes I love it.
What I didn't expect was how challenging it would be to get my big thumb under the frame lock bar to close it. The lock bar is pretty much flush with the opposite liner and handle scale.
And yet, I still love it!

Nope, just milled out one of the scales for the assist rod. Was tedious to do but not too bad.

Got this Zancudo today.
Not impressed.
The detent is so stiff, if it flips open too hard I need to use two hands to close the damn thing because the lock is so stiff I can barely budge it with my holding hand's thumb.
I switched the clip to tip up carry and I swear it made it more difficult to open.

I had to return mine and exchange it, it was impossible to open... The new knife needed little bit loosing but than it works just fine and no side play of the blade...
Besides the smaller size ( they'll have a bigger model - "Wasp" if I remember right) it's a handy little knife, I like it but it's not my full time edc...

There's no play in the blade in any direction, not even a hint of movement.

I'm carrying it today to try and warm up to it, but it's taking some time. I've lubed it up with BM's blue lube and it didn't help at all. That lock is so sticky, I can't disengage the lock with my thumb, I have to angle my thumb nail into it and THEN it moves over.

I probably wont send it back, but I'm also not going to use it much if it doesn't loosen up.
