My best friend gifted me with this last night. What a fantastic knife, and it's lighter than my BK-14 Eskabar to a noticeable degree. Just great little blade, and a much appreciated gift!

Man, let me tell you, I had no idea it was coming. I'm on Best Man duty at his upcoming wedding (in several months) and he is (come to find out) getting all of us Izulas, well, the other guys will get Izula 1s. But he got mine in last night (ordered mine first), and we were talking about knives, and he says "I got something to show you." He takes this orange Izula II out, and I'm instantly drooling. We talk a bit, and he lets me handle it, and that's when he tells me that actually it's for me and that it's mine now. I was just blown away. We've given each other a lot of good knives over the years, but this took the cake. We're planning a camping trip here in a couple months up to my parents' rural weekend property so we can get in some real workouts for this knife and his Izula. He picked up an Izula 1 in black, that we then rigged my BK 14 orange scales to. Sliced a VERY tiny part from the mouth of the plastic Izula sheath so he'd still get positive lockin, but after that, just perfect.

Speaking of which, great...Contego? I think? I love that blade shape, one of my favorites generally. Also, those Perdomos are fantastic smokes. I always keep several Champagnes in my humidor at all times. Very easy going, with good leather and dried peanut notes. Just a great stick.

first i thought - no - back in the baggy and box it goes - then i remembered two wise sig lines: - life is too short for safe queens - and - life is too short to carry an ugly knife...

and into my left front pocket it went - and boy does it feel good to carry this :D

Dude, seriously. I woke up feeling on top of the world today. Of course, it probably has something to do with my everpresent efforts to balance the cosmic karmic scale. I generally try my best to be nice to folks I meet, and help who I can, when I can. Sometimes, the sweetness comes back to me!

Speaking of sweet, that pic is damn awesome. I showed my wife and she said "That's awesome, but don't get any ideas!" LOL She's very, very accepting of my Sickness* but not hugely into knives herself. That said, I may still have to sneakily pick her up one of those pink Izulas and sneak into her go-bag....ideas, ideas...

*YOU boys know what that is, say it with me! The Sickness...FOR STEEL!

Thank you, gentlemen. I gotta tell you, this knife just feels tremendous in the hand and the way the blade just angles towards the work, it's like it's straining to be used! Good looking knives, guys!

At first my girlfriend didn't understand my obsession/sickness. However, when I bought her a blue and pink Kizer 3404 to keep in her purse/bag, she found it to be useful. Then last week I got her a pink Kershaw Shuffle for her keychain, and she loves it and the Kizer. Now she somewhat understands the obsession, though she still wasn't happy when I brought home an ESEE5. She said "What the hell are you going to use that for?"
