Looking good, brother! How are you liking it so far? Are you running it with or without the torsion bar?

Man if this thing had the KVT system in it I would be set. I am running it with the torsion bar in. I did take it out and clean everything well. I added tuf glide and just couldnt get it to flip without having the pivot screw really loose. The liner seems to be built to pinch against the blade somewhat. I suppose if you buffed the blade smooth around where it pivots, and you bent the liners to apply less pressure you might could make a flipper out of it. I didnt want to alter it that much.

I did tighten the pivot a bit extra so that the assist doesnt sling it open with quite as much force.

Also, Luis G. put this edge on it with his edge pro and damn if it is not the sharpest knife I have. Well, I think I have achieved this sharp of an edge, but not this smooth and uniform. It glides through what it cuts. It has me looking into getting an edge pro.

Regular G-10 14C28N Kershaw Skyline today. One problem though I polished the blade to a mirror finish and now I'm scared to use it for any hard work. Just stropped it last night though so I have been going through cardboard boxes like butter today but I'm scared I'll scratch it if I start doing any hard use work today. Gonna switch it up starting tomorrow and bench my Skyline until I get an S30V Skyline. Will probably edc the blur tanto the rest of this week

Kershaw Skyline . . . I polished the blade to a mirror finish and now I'm scared to use it

I too have a polished Skyline. Don't live in fear, and use that sucker. The worst possible downside is that you have to spend 3 minutes on it with a rag and some Flitz once in a while.

Word. Thanks for the reply, prime! I had the aluminum version but wasn't quite digging the slick finish on the scales. Maybe one day I'll break down and pick up a CF model.

As for today:

You're right. Just so darn pretty though :). But then again what good is it if I never use it? Thanks for making a good point. I'm going to use it and just touch up and Polish afterwards. Thanks!
