EDC knife while wearing a suit?

Benchmade 480-1 Just picked one up for a wedding yesterday. It's very light and sharp.

I'm with Shotgun. You can get a very classy slipjoint that won't be threatening, and will be able to handle any EDC task you throw at it while in a suit :) Or if you prefer having something with a lock I'd recommend taking a look at the GEC #72. I'm in a suit or shirt and tie every day for work and this one is in my pocket today.

Beat me to it.

I carry Slip joints with my suits. Mostly GEC.

just did a review on the mcusta tsuchi shadow, i would have to say this is the japanese version of the crk mnandi at half the price :)

I have the Mcusta small Nami, a similar framelock. This is the only one-handed opener that I can't really rely on to be able to open with one hand.
The knife looks great, but the detente on the framelock is a bit too stiff for me.
I do like the Mcusta Take, a really nice knife. I have one in staminawood.

I carry anything I can clip in my right back pocket. I tend to go with folders with blade lengths of 3" or less. Some examples are a Spyderco Sage 1, Benchmade Ritter Mini-Griptilian, Spyderco Dragonfly 2.

Just by way of update, I've been carrying a Spyderco Kiwi to work nearly everyday since February (except for court days) and I'm very happy with it. It's held up very nicely and has only needed to to be stripped down for cleaning, lubrication, and sharpening once. I can highly recommend this knife for office/suit carry by a professional (or anyone else for that matter).

I go with something thin and/or light when I suit up. For instance, I went to a wedding last weekend and took my Benchmade Mini-Griptilian. A ZT, on the other hand, would probably not be the best choice.

The kiwi is a great choice. I have an older lockback model which is one of the very few spydercos I own. It's definitely one of my choices if I need something small and classy.

How about a Sanrenmu 401. A little on the small side, but pefect for suit and tie needs. It's an elegent silver and gold, can even be used as a money clip, comes super sharp right OOB, and the best thing, at only about $7 shipped, you can get one for each suit!

I'd say.. Opinel #6 in a Brazilian Rosewood. $30, mirror polished blade.. Very snazzy, very lightweight, very non threatening. :)

I don't wear suits, but from the look and length of the sports jacket a small FB on the belt would work.

Just had my suit on for my cousin's wedding last night...Kershaw Skyline was clipped to my inside jacket pocket and I couldn't even tell it was there. Perfect.

I think a Lionsteel Opera in D2 steel would fit the bill... there are several handle materials to choose. A modern design with a classy look, imo.

Or any classic slipjoint knife made by Case, Buck, GEC, Queen etc etc would also be pretty nice while wearing a suit...
