EDC knife while wearing a suit?

The AlMar Hawk would fit the bill. There is a size larger and one a bit smaller, too. Nice selection of handle materials.

I would second the notion of a le Thiers Compact. I have a couple and they are nice knives. Classy looking, particularly in bone.

My choice is the William Henry E6, but it'll cost you $250

Maybe I'm just a hick, but I never even thought about carrying a different knife just because I was wearing a suite.

Ill second the MCUSTA suggestion. The low-rider clips are very nice and discreet in a pair of slacks. The gentleman's line are lovely and the yoroi is just beautiful.

Moki, MCUSTA, or Al Mar, would be my choice. But I like the idea of an Italian Stiletto for a more "edgy" look.

For dress-up occasions I would choose either the Fallkniven PXL with ivory scales

or
The Le Trappeur from Chambriard de Thiers

If it was for a dinner engagement it would be Le Trappeur above.

Hands down a CRK Mnandi. You can even wear it in a shirt/jacket pocket with the clip, and it will look elegant.

I recommend a GEC #33 Conductor. Its 3 3/8" closed with a 2 1/2" main clip blade and a smaller pen or coping blade. They share the same spring so they are thin. You can get them in 1095 and 440c (acorn shields). A lot of knife in a very small package. Also pretty exclusive as there usually 50 or less made in each handle material (also meaning some of these aren't readily available anymore). Most of these are under $100 too.

Forge de Laguiole is another that comes to mind. Very classy and they usually come with a little faux leather pouch to carry it in your pocket.

Trand has it right with the GEC Conductor:thumbup:

Alternatively, check www.fontenille-pataud.com for their XS model in various woods, bone, horn or stag.

Le Thiers is a good choice too, but not the Trappeur, it's about the size and weght of a house-brick! Opt for their Compact instead.

What about a "Spanish toothpick"? Heavy on the thinnest, but will nest easily beside your wallet in the back pocket.

I just got my sage 1today and it looks great with a suit. I still waiting on a Kershaw wild wild turkey. It's slimmer and may be more comfortable but this sage is Gorgeous!!!!

I don't mind carrying a "tactical folder" with a suit, and have in the past carried knives like my Benchmade mini-AFCK or the mini-grip that I posted a photo of earlier. I did get the idea to buy a more "gentleman's" knife at one time to carry with slacks, to church, etc. I bought an AG Russell folder and carried it some, but it was a bit heavy to lay in the bottom of my pocket.

I later bought a limited edition Benchmade (690 I think) for dress carry.

The Benchmade 581 Barage is known as the "Gentlemans tactical knife" a little big though, how about the smaller version, the Benchmade 585 mini-Barage

I'd say any knife from great eastern cutlery. Traditional knives just fit with wearing a suit :)
