I've seen some re-grinds on those, they usually extend the primary grind to the tip of the knife but I don't think Derek touched the original grind on the Vallotton. Anyway, I could be wrong.Interesting re-grind. ^
OK. I would have never guessed.

Aaah... I envy...
Cool pic man, the blade almost doesn't even look black. I dig it!
Got my Boker Urban trapper this morning. There is not much I don't like in this knife. It is ultra leight weight, feels like carrying a similar sized Opinel, only slimmer. The finish is very good and it locks early. This is my first flipper knife and the action is very positive, no problems at all opening the knife.
A slim, light cutter that carries much like a smaller knife. The cocobolo version has a gentleman's knife feeling about it. What I don't like so much: the handle slabs dont' have much of a grain in them and the knife has a single spacer, so I can slightly squeeze the handle liners to flex. One spacer more would not have added weight and would have added rigidity. While they were at it why did they not add a wire clip? The clip looks goofy, allthough it keeps the knife in place quite well.
But for the intended purpose, a light use pocket knife this is excellent and stylish.
