Just got this Northwoods Madison Barlow in and in loving it so far! A bigger knife than I might have realized though ;)
If I didn't feel the utter compulsion to always have a modern folder on me, I would probably be only carrying the Northwoods with me today because of it's size. LOVE the slip-case it came with though. Fits my Dunlap very nicely as well :D

Probably putting my Shorgorov 95CF up for sale today though :(
Love the knife, but I really want to try and get a Hoback A15 before I lose my chance at my last Grail, and that will require money :o

That's a very nice Northwoods Charr! What material is that? And you know that the Hoback can't be the last grail. Something new will always pop up :)

That Northwoods is a beauty, I would also like it in a smaller size, but the big one is cool too. The Shiro is great, but if you let it go for something you want more, no harm no foul. That's what this hobby is about.

That's green camel bone. Glad to see you like it, charr. That Diskin is gorgeous.

It was alot smaller than I first thought it'd be but it's grown on me, I had him use sambar stag and I think it almost fills the desire I had for a traditional

Thanks brother!
It's the green camel bone, and one of the best colorings I have seen of it so far for sure. Definitely my favorite out of all of the ones I have seen.

And the Hoback might not be the official "last grail" but it certainly is the last of the grail knives I have had for the last 3 years. The Bodega and it were tied for my all-time grail knife since I really got into collecting, and now that I have one of them, I really want to try and get my hands on the other so I can at least feel like my collection has some sense of compleition...for now ;)

Yeah, I really didn't expect that it would be such a stout knife, but I am still liking it a lot more than I thought I would, even though I do find myself wiping the blade obsessively because it's carbon.

I really wanted to be able to justify both of my Shirogorovs, but I think a lot of it is that I've come to realize that I just don't really need 2 of them, even if they are somewhat different from one-another.
And even if I can't get an A15, there are a ton of knives out there I would like to be able to afford that I can't really reasonably justify right now, and they extra money wouldn't hurt either for other things if nothing else.

I was actually just about the send you a PM, Greg, and let you know it made it here safe and sound, but I got caught up at work for a little while.
This has become probably my favorite knife to play with besides my Dunlap, and that's saying something ;)
I've found that playing with a flipper is really nice when you're doing something else, but when you're just bored, there is nothing quite like playing with a nice traditional knife with a great half-stop :D

Thank you so much for contacting me and giving such a good price for this Northwoods!
You've only made my condition worse though, because I'm already looking at getting a GEC #73 or any number of other new ones now ;)

This really puts the size of the lime cutter into perspective, Luc. I'm glad you posted this picture so I'm not shocked when I get mine.

When I first got mine I was pretty surprised by the size. I knew it was going to be small, but not quite this small. With that said, I freakkin' LOVE it. The fact that I got another one is a testament of how rad I think this little fix blade is.

They are definitely not for everyone, but if you are a knife nut - you should at least try one good traditional.

Traditional, modern, flippers, fix blades - I tend to see some beauty is most knives.

I'm carrying my Pingo today as well...!

Very nice!

I have been looking for a nice warn cliff traditional but it would have to be single blade. I can't stand multiple blades on a knife, i don't know why

I fell you on that. I thought I would like more than one blade more than I am, but I am still happy with my Northwoods.
What I wouldn't give to have one of those wonderful single-blade GEC warncliffs though ;)
