EDC VI Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I have been looking for a nice warn cliff traditional but it would have to be single blade. I can't stand multiple blades on a knife, i don't know why

I'm with you - I also prefer single blade traditionals and also prefer Wharnies or Sheepsfoot blades.

ones I personally own and love:
- GEC #47 Viper - this is a really sweet knife. It's the working knife in this class. If you want something a bit more fancy, there is also a Northfield version.
- #77 Yankee Barlow Wharncliffe - great size and amazing finish.
- GEC #92 Talon - if you want something a bit smaller than the Viper or Yankee Barlow, the talon is a great option.

I've seen some re-grinds on those, they usually extend the primary grind to the tip of the knife but I don't think Derek touched the original grind on the Vallotton. Anyway, I could be wrong.

You're correct, my friend - no re-grind, it's just the light (or lack thereof) in the photo..

Nice suggestions! Northwoods (made by GEC) has some nice offerings as well:

Forest Jack:

Hawthorne Jack:

Fremont Jack (here w/ 3-bladed whittler):

All are superb quality, fit, and finish. And there are several others (Indian Jack comes to mind)... Check 'em out at KnivesShipFree if you're interested.

ah yes how could I forget Northwoods. Wharnie blade - I have the Fremont Jack and Broadway Jack. I typically like smaller knives, but in hand I prefer the Fremont Jack over the Broadway. I like the Indian River Jack too, but it only comes with a Spear point blade (maybe there is a Wharnie but I've never seen one).

So many great knives out there....
