I know, right? I don't understand why anyone would want to DDoS Bladeforums.

Such excellent shots lately, guys. Two things I've come to realize:

1. I'm gonna have to get myself an Endura soon and

2. Varga(?) knives are awesome!

Today was a good mail day for me :)

How's the detent on the SheepDog I'm a little concerned from what I've read and is the lock up sticking on you at all ?
I really like it though especially now knowing the chisel edge is lefty friendly [emoji1]
Actually have one in my cart but just haven't been able to decide and hit the buy it now button lol .
Sorry about the late reply, been busy.
The detent is on the light side, but it still flips well. You can wrist flick it open pretty easy though. I'd say it's about a normal detent, not heavy like on most flippers.

As far as lock stick, all Emersons, and I mean ALL of them will have lock stick until they break in, then no problem. If the initial stick bothers you, put some graphite (pencil lead) or sharpie on the tang, and it will be fine. You just have to keep re applying it. If you let the lock break in, keep in mind that it will move over to about 50%, and then should stay there forever.

Haha! I'll send you my Thorburn's when you send me a winning lottery ticket:p;)

I spent this 4th weekend in the hospital with my grandmother. My family had a get-together, and she passed out due to low blood-pressure and was unconscious... She's ok now, but it caused a lot of worry these past few days:(

That woman is a trooper though! She's got some amazing story's to tell. She lived in Germany during WWII and has seen..things...unspeakable things... However, she is the most positive/upbeat person I know! She helped fund this Diskin Fire, which is why I chose to carry it to the hospital today:)
Sorry to hear your grandmother had problems. Glad she's ok.

My carry today was the same as yesterday, but I substituted the Sod Buster for a med Stockman.

I'm leaving tomorrow to drive from Alabama to California. I'm going to take a lot of blades with me to ward off boredom. Ha ha. Plus I'm supposed to hook up with Sabrecat while I'm there, so I've gotta have stuff to show off.

Carried my Seb and Dunlap today, now I'm trying out this new strop I made with denim. I loaded it with Noxon and AlOx and the results are fantastic:)

Was gonna try and take something besides the Bodega tomorrow, and you just settled it. The Fire is going out for a spin again tomorrow! :D

I absolutely love my Fire, but for some reason I don't carry it often. Honestly, I think the low-rider clip leaves a bad taste in my mouth:D It still gets plenty of love though:thumbup:

I have the same issue. It's in my top 3 or 4 knives I own probably, but like you said I just don't seem to carry it as much as I would like. Need to start changing that if I can, but it's hard when it's competing with my Bodega and my Shirogorovs...

And stop making me jealous with that Dunlap! I still have to wait for mine because he's waiting on the marble carbon fiber, so stop making me impatient over here! ;)
...let's be honest though, I don't need you to do anything for me to get impatient over a new knife... :D

I hear you on the whole competition thing! Lately I have a hard time walking out of the house with my Sebenza when I can carry a Thorburn or something else instead. However, the swedge on the Insingo blade is great for scraping and prying at work; today I pryed open a paint can with my Seb's swedge:eek:

That sucks he's waiting on the CF! I actually bought a stash of MCF last year to put away for "a rainy day". The stuff can be nearly impossible to find at times. If you're considering another MCF knife in the future, I'd buy the raw material and then send it to a maker when you're ready. That way, you won't have to wait:)
