You have to tell me what you think of that knife! I have been on the edge of getting a Southern Grind since I sold my Bad Monkey, and once I saw that new design it really started to interest me. What's the feel in hand?
I don't like the PVD coating they do standard on their website but that stonewash looks amazing on it!

I am very impressed so far. Fit and finish is some of the best i have seen on a production knife. On par with Spyderco's high end Taiwanese models. Here are they specs:

• Handle: Carbon Fiber
• Lock & Liner: 6AL4V Titanium
• Grind: Conventional Flat Grind
• Blade Steel: S35VN
• Hardness: RC 58-59
• Blade Length: 3.25"
• Blade Finish: Tumbled Satin
• Weight: 3.2 oz.
• Overall Length: 7.4375"
• Handle Length: 4.1875"
• Blade Thickness: .130"

Nice RAM brother!

Nice RAM brother!

Thanks, brother! Today is her first day in my pocket. It's light but grippy thanks to the G10 overlays, and the blade shape is really pleasing to my eyes.

It's good seeing you post more. How was your vacation?? Hope you had an awesome time.

Oh, and that SG looks to be about the perfect size! Is it your first?

Thanks, Erik!

I will have to put that one on my list for sure!
I haven't felt the bug as much for custom modern folders or anything since I got my Bodega, so I might have to get back into the production knives and slip-joints for a while and keep my wallet a little fuller ;)

But honestly between Southern Grind, Spyderco's Nirvana, and a few other very nice production knives, I don't know how full my wallet will stay :D

Thank you John, it is my first SG. The Bad Monkey was just a little too large for me so I never took the leap. The Spider Monkey is a perfect size.

Our vacation was fantastic, went to SD and saw the big faces! Had a great time! The Black Hills and Badlands are an amazing place, needless to say I did not want to return to the daily grind.

To keep things on topic ;), I carried my BM Small Summit Lake and a Juice S2 the whole vacation.

Nice knives guys, love the vacation shots Erik:thumbup:

John, love the Ram, I have a blem in Red and have no idea why its a blem:confused:

David, always a classy knife:thumbup:
