No, not with my Higo:D

Not because of the price, but because the grind is so unique it takes some time to sharpen it properly. If it had a typical "V grind" I would use it a lot harder.

I keep my Higo extremely sharp, so I'm careful about what I cut with it. I make sure it doesn't get dull, EVER!!! :D

I definately don't baby my knives, but my Higo gets (slightly) babied because of the grind.

Tomorrow it will be the same but I'll pair it with the 2014 Bladeforums knife.



I seem to carry the forum knife as a worry stone.

Hi it's a MAS-1 by Martin Annegarn of MA Knives. It's a slipjoint which uses two detents to hold the blade open. It also has an internal stop pin which allows him to flush the tang with the bolsters. Micarta with Ti bolsters, liners and spacer:)

Great carry today Brett and I sincerely hope all goes well with the check-up. Thoughts and prayers brother.
 
This is what I'm carrying today, among other things (thankfully Florida is one of the good knife states!). What a phenomenal knife. Violent deployment, came razor sharp, and I am in love with the design:
