EDC - What did your knife do today???

My "charlie mike'd" benchmade 111SH2O helped my dad and I set up our above ground pool today. It cut up a bunch of bags of sand, did a little light prying on the railing, and made my dad smile every time I whipped it out and handed it to him :)

My Benchmade 710 in D2 is currently cutting up left over ham and potatoes with some dinner rolls :p

Here's some pics from earlier with the 111SH2O:

LOL, I even carry it the way you recommend in your videos: Back left pocket and drawn facing forward with the wave I dremeled. Works every time (knock on wood) :) I keep my 710 in the front right pocket for normal stuff and use the 111SH2O for things I wouldn't subject my perty 710 to :D

My Benchmade 550S made quick work of some cable ties and helped open and flatten a few cardboard boxes while at work today.

My Sypderco Sage II cut up a load of cardboard boxes from a new chair last night for recycling. The best part is that even after all the cardboard it really did not even need a touch up on the sharpener to still be nice and sharp!

Used my Trapper to cut a new piece of fuel line for the lawnmower and then to poke the new, non-flexible air filter in - guess you should change those more than once in 8 years, the old one was pretty much dust:).

I have noticed that the spike (awl, whatwasit) in Victorinox Pioneer/Soldier is very good for package opening. It doesn't have edge like knife, but sharpish and opens tape and all sort of ties very easily while sparing the blade for more delicate work. Also that the spike is short makes it very pleasant to work with and gives good control.

Didn't have a staple remover at hand. Improvised and pried some staples off with my CQC-10.

Yesterday, drained a couple blisters with my Kershaw Cyclone...sterilized it first, o'course. Cut up a couple oranges with my Shallot.

Used my 550S Mini Grip at work again today, this time to slice through the packing tape and seals on gun shipping boxes. Also had to use it to open a roll of quarters, as the new plastic rolls are a royal pain without cutting them.

I used my Vic Champion Plus to cut the thread on carpet I needed to sew for a prototype run. The Kershaw Commander helped cut some of the carpet for the die cut press.:D:thumbup:
