EDC - What did your knife do today???

Nice "edc pocket dump" Charlie Mike. The lineup changes with the seasons. I like it better when you had the flashlight shoulder mounted like "Predator" :D

Since earlier post, I took my CS Kukri Machete out and smashed up some dead branches. Small branches came right off and some took some V notch/cutting. After my session, I came inside and tuned it up with a stone first (didn't like that) then settled for the edge with my 6" file and smoothed the ragged edges with a butcher's steel. Slices paper now again so it should be good to go.

Cut up a few tie wraps today for a customer who wanted her new stroller opened. Assembled it on the spot too :D

Used my Benchmade 710, this knife carries great :)

Helped the boss out with his new toy which had some flaws. I cut some foam inserts for a travel Humidor to make a custom support so the Cigars wouldn't bounce around. It cut through the foam like butter, I was surprised how smooth it sliced it. I wasn't expecting the edges of the foam to be so "pretty." :)

I used a cold steel crappy serrated fixed blade to cut a rod can in half to use as a scoop to remove a puddle of water from where I needed to weld. I did the same last week with a baretta folder. The baretta worked way better and it's edge held up very well. No damage at all, but it would not shave afterwards. The Cold Steel had a lot of chips in the edge :/ I also used the pen blade on my Buck Creek Whittler to cut a template for to cope a 6" nipple into a fish oil vent pipe. Then I handed my open cold steel pocket bushman to our production welder to see how long it would take for him to figure out how to close it. I almost smoked a whole cigarette before he figured it out :)

PS My busy creek also sharpened up some soap stone as happens pretty much everyday

What knife were you using?

I used my Delica 4 to cut a packet of Gillette Fusion razors off of a shelf. They have them locked with a cap so that you have to hunt down a walmart "assosciate" so they can remove the cap with a key and get the pack of razors for you. I cut the box so I could pull it down and headed to the registers........

:)Used an Izula to shave some tinder & sticks for cooking hot dogs . Started a little fire with my SAK's saw against the Izula's firesteel. Ate hot dogs with my grandsons.

I used my modded #8 Opinel to carve up some styrofoam poster board for one of the kid's school projects. I also peeled an apple with it.

Used the Victorinox Soldier to open up a package and some envelopes. This evening the Opinel nr. 8 was used to cut potatoes and broccoli.

I used my Spyderco Dragonfly to peel labels off some boxes at work. My supervisor used his fingernails.

Also cut some cable ties, opened a few packages.
