EDC - What did your knife do today???

Cut cardboard boxes up, cut zip-ties, and used it to cut a quart of oil into a funnel for the following quarts..

I used my new Spyderco Persistence to cut open a bag of frozen peas and cut some paper and plastic. That's about it...

I killed the six fingered man who had slain my father.

On a more serious note:

Nothing really, didn't come across anything that needed cutting today.

Cut the tape off a thing of snus with my BG42 laser sharp Mnandi.

Lets see. Today I sharpened some soap stone of course. Then I cut some of the horrible green poly line that somebody thought would make a good safety line for our scaffold. Cut up some card board to write a note for the day shift on. And I think that was about it for today.

Used my SE Tasman to basically saw through 1/16" plastic on a shift handle slot for an out board motor.

Used my knife to cut open the birth sack around the foal's nose allowing her to breath. It was a long first birth for the mama and we were concerned with the time the baby was without oxygen. So as soon as the filly's nose was out far enough that she wasn't going back in, I cut open the birth sack and heard and saw the foal draw her first big breath on this earth.

Simply amazing! And a great use of a knife.

Well, everything's going to be mundane for a while after that. Great pics, great knife, great job on the foal. congratulations!

well, on sunday our little blue healer allerted us to 4' long blacksnake that was curled up beside the couch in our living room. i used a fokos that i made to pin it to the floor, crushing it in the process, and i used my spyderco d-4 to cut it's head off and put it out of its misery.

I was just talking to my wife about relocating to TN too. After seeing this I may have to change my mind! WOW

BTW-used my SAK Super Tinker to put line on the weedwacker spool, open the mail, trim a finger nail, and eat an apple.

hey bone, howdy. the blacksnakes around here aren't venomous, they're actually good to keep the rodent population under control. the snake was in a dark space between the couch and the wall, and i couldn't tell what kind it was, didn't want to take a chance on it being a rattler. i wouldn't have killed it otherwise.

Used my Persistence to open envelopes (i hate bills...), cut some twine, open a couple of packages and cut some cheese.

Here's my current EDC:

I hit a rock with the tip of my Izula.

It saw the strop but one side of the tip was wanting to "cut" the leather.

I pulled out a coarse/fine dmt diafold and lightly dragged the side that was catching across both stones.

The tip's now gliding across the strop effortlessly in both directions. Good as new again.
