I'm one to put my knives to work, and work to the max. Last couple of weeks I have carried an Ontario Hossom Retribution 1 that I modified for deep pocket carry, as one of my two edc's.

Today I put the Retribution to WORK! I used it to slice open 4 Little Debbie cellophane wrappers. Some might call it overkill, I just call it using my big giant knife to open something my little whittler could do.

At any rate, I loved it!!!

Used the saw on SAK farmer to remove broken PVC male adaptors from galvanized couplings. I am a basic plumbing instructor, and students are always overtightening those things. My Spyderco paramilitary is a shop favorite for removing the occassional threads from our uniforms because of its razor sharp edge. My Case Soddie jr is my favorite knife removing the bur that forms on the inside of PVC pipe after you cut it. I won't even go into how often I use my SOG Powerassist during the work day. Yes, I do carry all these knives on a daily basis, I know I have a sickness.

Took out my mirror polished Boker Mini Resurrection to check if i had anything stuck between my teeth :D

It was a beautiful day, just like today, with lots of sun and since it was warm (18 deg Celcius) a friend of mine invited me and a few other friends to go barbecueing in the garden. My good old Victorinox Soldier helped to open packages with meat and cut vegetables and fruit.

Just killed a Totino's Crip Crust pizza box about 5 minutes ago :D

I guess you guys are now aware that I'm hungry :o

Edit to add:

My brand new kamagong (hardwood) and all-brass handled balisong cut my fingers six times (including two cuts in the exact same spot on my pinky). :)

I used my Kershaw Mini Cyclone to cut some ty-wraps holding a new clamp I got from Lowe's, sharpened a pencil, cut an old pair of pants into rags and shaved a bit of wood off a new hatchet handle. That's all up to 3:30 anyway!

Nothing too fancy. Cut through the tape on the box of accessories that came with my still semi-new BlackBerry 9700 so I could get the headphones out; walked to the grocery store; and then carved up a nice New York strip steak that I picked up on sale at the store.

What did my knife do today?

Well, my Izula bit me again. This is the second time in a week that it's bitten me. I love the knife but it seems to be out for my blood. I doubt I've been bitten by my own knives more than four or five times in the last ten years, and this thing gets me twice in a week.

The Soldier tightened the screw holding the knob on one of my kitchen cabinets.

The Izula is currently in time out for its poor behavior.

Opened a bottle of Arrogant Bastard Ale with the bottle opener on my Vic Soldier.

That's a very fine job for a very fine knife (and a very fine brew). Mine just popped the cap on a bottle of Magic Hat #9.
